Three chances to come home to your body, build community, and practice the kind of consent-based, pleasure-centred connection that actually nourishes you.

Eight unhurried hours of embodied consent practice in Portland, Oregon. A space for platonic pleasure, co-regulation, and building a shared language around what you actually want. To stop enduring. ✨ Rooted Pleasure Deep Dive
Saturday March 21 | 10am–6pm | Portland, OR

Imagine spending 8 hours unfurling and learning how to stop enduring touch you didn’t ask for and start experiencing touch that is genuinely, unambiguously for you. Learning to receive the gift of touch offered with a full heart, and to give that same gift in return. Discovering what you actually want, finding the words to ask for it, and practicing staying present in your body long enough to really feel it.

This is about deepening what’s possible in intimacy. About knowing, in your body, when touch is for you and when it’s for the person offering it, and how that clarity changes everything.

It’s about moving from people-pleasing and endurance into genuine choice, presence, and pleasure.

Using Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent as our framework, we’ll explore embodied consent practice through guided somatic exercises, nervous-system-aware pacing, and real relational practice, in a trauma-informed, q***r, kink and poly-affirming space in Portland, Oregon.

You’ll leave with:
🌿 The ability to know and communicate what you actually want
🌿 The experience of giving and receiving touch with a full heart
🌿 More capacity to stay present in your body and feel more pleasure
🌿 Real connection with people who speak this language

A Full-Day Immersive Retreat in Conscious Relationship, Embodiment & Erotic Aliveness

We won’t just be talking about connection.

We will be learning to feel it in your body.

Rooted in the STARS Talk framework, a relational language for conscious dating, authentic relating, and sexual integrity, you’ll be guided through somatic practice, dance, and real conversation to explore how your nervous system listens, opens, and protects.

The STARS Framework:
⭐️ S — Safety (nervous system cues, boundaries, attachment)
⭐️ T — Turn-Ons (aliveness, attraction, joy — relationally & energetically)
⭐️ A — Avoids (limits, triggers, non-negotiables — without shame)
⭐️ R — Relationship Intentions (what you’re truly available for)
⭐️ S — Sexual Health (empowered, honest, integrity-centered conversations)

This retreat is for people ready to practice connection as a lived experience, not just an idea.

What are Rooted Pleasure Practice Circles really about?
They’re about feeling and declaring; enough.
No more people pleasing.
No more pressure or unconscious escalation.
No more enduring.

And stepping into a full-bodied yes to your truth, your boundaries, your pleasure.

This is about reclaiming what was always yours. Feeling desire again. Learning to ask cleanly for what you actually want. Learning to receive and savour. Trusting your own boundaries without apology, and trusting someone else with theirs.

Breath + sound + movement + attention + attunement + safety = greater access to pleasure. 🌿

Past participants have left feeling grounded, blissful, calm, alive in every sense, more connected, optimistic, and amazing ~ their words, not mine.

To every single one of you doing this work right now

In a world where the news is confirming what many of our bodies already knew, where the macro is crashing into the micro of our own lived experiences... the courage it takes to show up and do this work is extraordinary.

To the men integrating your sexual shadow, examining your conditioning, breaking cycles, and healing from your own wounds, thank you. Your willingness to look inward matters more than you know.

To the women and other gendered folks reclaiming your sexual sovereignty, learning what safety feels like in your body, finding your voice, your boundaries, your pleasure, on your own terms, without apology, I see you. I’m sorry this work is necessary. And I’m in awe of you.

This is how we actually change things. Not just the headlines, but the root.

It’s an honor to hold space for you. Every single session is a drop in the ocean, and the entire ocean is in one drop. 🙏 thank you for the reminder.

Right now I’m sitting in the discomfort with you, slowly thawing, and finding my way back to aliveness. We do this together.

Join us Wednesday February 4th for an ecstatic dance you won’t want to miss!

We will begin at 7pm with Rooted Pleasure + Play, a workshop led by yours truly. Emerald (she/her) is a Somatic Intimacy Coach & Bodyworker in Portland, who helps individuals, couples, and groups cultivate authentic, connected, and satisfying relationships with their bodies and each other. Her work blends somatic awareness, breath, communication skills, and pleasure-based practices to support regulation, healing, and embodied confidence.

In this workshop, come experience a taste of Rooted Pleasure through movement, somatic play, and consent-based connection. Expect curiosity, choice, and pleasure-forward exploration designed to help you arrive in your body, warm your nervous system, and drop into dance feeling more open, connected, and alive… YUM!

The evening will close with a sound healing from Ayla Réalta ( ). Singer Ayla Réalta has been training her voice in many genres for over 17 years, however, her original music is inspired by earth worship and her love of plants and fungi. She is committed to honing a strong voice so that these natural entities can effectively sing through her. Influenced by ancient European and Balkan music, her songs often include ethereal soothing vocals, wild runs, and feral sounds. Ayla will pull from her most soothing and gentle original music for the sound healing at this ecstatic dance.
