This Sunday has been a busy day at church.

We had the Bishop of Southwark Christopher Chessun, celebrating the mass.

We also had the priest from St Pieter's church in Ghent visiting us and being part of the celebration.

We had Father Steve Hall, my mentor and my favourite priest in the whole world, who was the congregation priest for 12 years until he retired almost 2 years ago.

We also had the Blackheath Art's Society presenting the parish records with the names of all that make part of our community, 14 years for me.

Then we had a banquet, because at St Mary's we find every excuse to get together, eat and drink 😉

The last picture is the gift the Bishop presented to us, a painting of Mary on her deathbed.

I can see the apostles by her side until the end, and one reading the Scriptures to her.

I am still trying to understand its meaning, if she died or was dying and her son was being given back to her?

After 46 days of fasting I travelled to the island of São Tomé e Principe

What a privilege it was to spend Easter, at this sacred land.

If there is a place on Earth where you can get closer to Heaven, then this surely is it.

Here you can experience Peace, Perfect Peace

Where Light will come after Darkness

Where Gain will come after Loss

Where Joy will come after Sorrow

Where the Crown will remain after the Cross is put down

Sacred Land, how blessed were you to be forgotten.

Loss might have felt that it was in vain, but your lack surely was for eternal gain.

Your soil had time to settle, so that a new story could now be written.

I have left you but I feel no need to bid you farewell, because I know that in my absence, you will continue to be comforted by better hands than mine.

In so little time you have given me so much, and gratitude is what I have taken with me.

Those moments where my eyes were watering, for no other reason than thankfulness.

Once again I have been to the top of the mountain, where every direction offered me a spectacular view.

Easter is the season for death and resurrection and I can garantee you that a part of me died when I set foot on your soil, while another resurected before I left you.

I promisse that I will go back to you, I know that I will go back..

The Zahir, A Novel of Obsession

One of these days I was writting about, the potential we see in others.

It is my belief that the potential we see in others is the potential we have within ourselves, but we divert it so that we can blame the other, and not ourselves for not achieving it.

I used to see potential in everyone, failing to realise that the reason I was able to see it, was because I also had it in me.

It is the same with everything else, beauty, light , darkness etc.

In The Zahir, Paulo Coelho uses another example to explain his view on the same subject;

"Marie, let’s suppose that two firemen go into a forest to put out a small fire.

"Afterwards, when they go over to a stream, the face of one is all smeared with black, while the other man’s face is completely clean."

My question is this: which of the two will wash his face?

"That’s a silly question. The one with the dirty face of course."

"No, the one with the dirty face will look at the other man and assume that he looks clean just like him.

And, vice versa, the man with the clean face will see his colleague covered in grime and say to himself: I must be dirty too. I’d better have a wash.’

"What are you trying to say?"

"I am saying that, I came to realize that I was always looking for myself in the women I loved.
I looked at their lovely, clean faces and saw myself reflected in them,

Fasting raises our vibration and offers us another opportunity to take a deeper and honest look at ourselves.

Before the year ends, this reset is needed, as there are things that still need to be let go off.

I pray that once again, another veil will be removed from my eyes.

No t.v
No music
No meat
No fish
No socialising
No bread, biscuits, or cakes
No any kind of sugars, including fruit

As my body and mind are purified, I ask that I be rewarded with the wisdom and clarity needed to continue to move forward on my journey.

Always remember that what you can not see is much bigger than what you can...

The weekend of 31st/1st of November turned out to be another beautiful encounter with the spiritual world.

There are so many on that side willing and ready to share their wisdom, but we are more comfortable asking our equals instead of our superiors.

Superiors in the sense that they have already gone through that that we are still going through now, but they can only intervene in personal lives if a request is sent.

I wanted to write a big note explaining what really happens when the portal opens, but then I thought to myself:

"they don't really care, so why should you?"

Even if at this point my mission is more about others than it is about myself, I am still human and feel discouraged and disappointed when I look around.

But it's important that I continue to use my page as my open journal so that when it all comes out, at least there is proof that I was already doing my part.

Sadly, most live for the moment, forgetting that:

What they can not see is the bigger part of what they can....
