Neutral Space

I've confused real with fake so many times
I'm listening to you talk while reading between the lines
You love bombed me
Whispering in my ear telling me I'm yours
I've lost count of how many times it occurred
All ears while my feelings were stirred

They say it's a fine line
Between love and hate
I'd rather stay in a neutral space

I've loved hard to those unworthy of that reward
Look where it got me
trust issues, pattern recognition, intuitive insight
Heartbroken and sleepless nights
I'm not alright

Attracting hurt people that only want to hurt people
He wasn't my equal
A Manipulator begging for a sequel
All we did was f**k, sip champagne and smoke
An awkward silence whenever we spoke
Those moments gave me hope
Toxic relationship dangling on a thin rope

Fugacious
Not zodiacally compatible
Trying to force a fit is radical—
it's not natural
Good chemistry but zero percent compatibility
Emotional unavailability
The relationship was unstable
Some people thrive on toxicity
It's a dopaminergic high
They get off from the ghosting and the lies
Not me, I’d rather cut all ties

A broken heart isn’t character development is cope

“What I’m Asking For” I want to know if you’re curious about the person I am when I haven’t slept and the walls come down.

If you will hold space for the version of me that’s still overcoming my insecurities— if you won’t mistake my healing for weakness, or my quiet for distance.

If you can see the perfection in my imperfections. Patient enough to stay
and bear witness to my expansion and becoming.

I’m not looking for someone who already understands me. I’m looking for someone who wants to— who will ask questions I haven’t thought to answer, who will let me ask the same of you, until we’ve mapped each other’s interiors like explorers searching for the unknown in a familiar space that feels like home.
