Let's talk DOMS...(Delayed onset of muscle soreness)
Alot of my clients experience DOMS. This is to be expected after embarking on a new fitness routine or when you've taken a break from exercise or even when progressively overloading the muscles during sessions.
However, if you do not experience DOMS, this does not mean that your workout was less effective, it just means your body is getting used to the movement patterns.
DOMS should not be used as a guideline as to how effective your workout was.
Take the time to invest in you and help yourself recover quicker by ensuring you take on adequate protein and water and by making sure you get a decent night's sleep!!!
