⛳️ What a Day at the Centenary Waltz! ☀️
What an amazing day we’ve had at Lochmaben Golf Club’s Centenary Waltz.
The turnout and support shown for this event has been absolutely incredible, and Captains Kenny and Georgia, along with everyone involved in organising our centenary celebrations, have been overwhelmed by the response.
Normally at this point we’d be talking about who won, who lost, who was closest to the pin at the 12th, who found the line on the 18th, and maybe even who’s taller in their team photo than they are in real life!
But today wasn’t really about any of that.
Today was about the journey, not the destination.
It was about bringing the club together. Juniors, ladies, gents, families and friends all enjoying a fantastic day of golf, laughter, banter and friendship as part of our centenary celebrations.
The great atmosphere on the course carried right through into the clubhouse afterwards. It was brilliant to see the clubhouse packed, with members of all ages enjoying each other’s company. A special mention goes to our Junior Tigers, whose enthusiasm and energy added so much to the occasion and helped create a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
From the Board, the Centenary Committee, our bar staff, green staff, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.
The centenary year continues on Saturday 20th June with our Family Fun Day. Members, non-members, families and friends are all welcome, so come along and join the celebrations.
