🧹 WE’RE HIRING – TWO CLEANING VACANCIES

Lochmaben Golf Club is looking for two reliable and hardworking cleaners to join our team.

MIDWEEK CLEANER
Monday to Friday
2.5 hours each morning
12.5 hours per week

WEEKEND CLEANER
Saturday and Sunday
2.5 hours each morning
5 hours per week

Both positions involve early-morning work 6.30am - 9.00am to ensure the clubhouse and facilities are clean and ready before opening.

Duties will include cleaning toilets and public areas, vacuuming, washing floors, emptying bins and general cleaning tasks.
Applicants must be dependable, have good attention to detail and be able to work independently. Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.

Scottish Boys Area Team Championship ⛳️🏆

What a fantastic day at Lochmaben Golf Club yesterday as we had the privilege of hosting the Scottish Boys Area Team Championship.

To welcome some of Scotland’s finest young golfers to Lochmaben was a real honour, and particularly special for us during our Centenary Year. The weather certainly played its part too!

A huge congratulations to Lothians, who retained the Boys Area Team Championship title, and to Sam Wilson of Fife, winner of the Niagara Trophy for the lowest individual score in the afternoon singles.

We were also extremely proud to see three of our own Lochmaben juniors, Isaac Scott, Max Clark, and Zac Stankiewicz, competing in the Championship. All three represented themselves and the club brilliantly and played some fantastic golf throughout the day.

We would also like to thank Scottish Golf, all of the officials, team managers, players, supporters and ball watchers who joined us and helped make the day such a success.

A special thank you must also go to our greenkeeping team, who had the course looking absolutely superb, and to our clubhouse team and everyone behind the scenes who helped us deliver such a prestigious event.

We were incredibly proud to host the Championship and delighted to receive such lovely feedback from Scottish Golf on both the course and the hospitality.

🏆 The Lennox Trophy

Yesterday, the Lennox Trophy was held at Lochmaben Golf Club — an event with a proud history and a special connection to the club.

The trophy was donated in 1972 by James Lennox Grandad of Jimmy Lennox our current Junior Convenor

Jimmy’s father Noel, a former champion of our club was instrumental in organising this 36 hole scratch event. His vision was to help raise the profile of the club and attract some of the best amateur golfers from across the South.

That vision has certainly stood the test of time. The Lennox Trophy remains one of the best-supported 36-hole events in the South, continuing a tradition that began over 50 years ago.

🏔️🏆THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE – COMPLETED! 🏆🏔️

A massive congratulations to our Lady Captain, Georgia Bell, and Wes, who have successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Brain Tumour Research.

Looking at these photos, it certainly wasn’t an easy challenge! From some pretty tough conditions on the mountains to finally being able to sit down and enjoy a well-earned glass of fizz 🥂, what an incredible achievement for them both.

A huge well done to you both — you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. 💙
