💥 FULL TIME | 7-6 💥

A goal fest at Tonteg Park this afternoon! 🤯

We flew out of the blocks, going 2-0 up inside the opening 13 minutes with goals from Lowri Woodward and Millie Davies. Penydarren pulled one back, but Abi Blandford restored our two-goal cushion to make it 3-1.

The goals kept coming before the break, with Penydarren finding another, followed by Brooke Fisher and a second from Abi Blandford to send us into half time with a 5-2 lead. 🔥

Penydarren came out fighting in the second half and quickly closed the gap with two goals, making it 5-4.

Ella Howells stepped up from the spot and calmly put away a penalty to make it 6-4, but Penydarren weren’t finished. Another goal followed, before an unfortunate own goal brought them level at 6-6 with just 15 minutes left to play.

But this team doesn’t know when to give up. 🩵

With the clock ticking into the final minutes, Carys Woodward popped up in the 87th minute with a HUGE winner to secure all three points! 🤩🔥

A game full of goals, twists, turns and a whole lot of fight! But it’s another win for the girls! 💪

After a huge summer, we’re finally ready to get our Tier 3 campaign underway as we welcome Penydarren BGC to Tonteg Park for our first league fixture of the season.

Strong. Quick. And absolutely terrifying when she gets going. 🤯 Abi brings power and pace to the wing and is more than capable of leaving defenders wondering what just happened.

LOWRI WOODWARD | WINGER 🐕
Our little whippet flying down the wing. Lowri might not be the tallest player on the pitch, but she makes up for it with ridiculous pace and energy. Blink and she’s gone! 💨

CARYS WOODWARD | STRIKER 🔥
Feisty. Strong. And one of the biggest characters in the squad. Carys is exactly the kind of player you want on your side! Never afraid of a battle and always ready to make her presence known. 💪

We’re continuing our retained player announcements with these four units who will be representing Llantwit Fardre Ladies FC for the 2026/27 season! 🩵

ELLA HOWELLS | NUMBER 10 🩵
37 goals. 26 assists. 63 goal contributions. 🤯 Our number 10 was absolutely ridiculous last season. And somehow, the stats still don’t tell the full story. Ella brings goals, assists, chaos and enough personality to fill the whole squad.

MILLIE DAVIES | WINGER 🩵
24 goals. 19 assists. And a ridiculous amount of people left wondering where their ankles went. 🤣 One of the most technically gifted players on the pitch, Millie can take on anyone in her way — and if there’s a nutmeg available, you know she’s taking it.

ERIN HUGHES | MIDFIELDER 🩵
Another midfielder sticking around for another season! A familiar face in the middle of the park and another important part of the squad staying with us for 26/27.

CARI MAIDMENT | MIDFIELDER 🩵
Technical ability? Tick. Pace? Tick. Footballing brain? Absolutely. ✅ Cari brings an excellent understanding of the game alongside the ability and quickness to make things happen. A hugely important player for us, staying for 26/27.
