Orion Firearms Training Limited Orion Firearms Training is at the cutting edge of Rifle Training within the UK.

Our 5000 acre unique rifle range facility is discreetly located in the wilderness of the Welsh Cambrian Mountains where you can shoot a variety of steel targets from 50 metre to 3km, from .22 rimfire to .50 calibre. At Orion Firearms Training we use a variety of steel reactive and explosive targets. Shooting steel is an unforgetable experience with instant feedback you simply don't get punching pa

per targets. The learning curve is steep and you'll be amazed how quickly you will learn to read the wind, and ballistic curve of your chosen calibre. Soon we shall be installing our new moving target system, along with aditional covered shooting areas, new and varied targets as well as investing in new rifles and scopes. Orion Firearms Training offers far more than the average rifle range, including incline shooting, water signature and the finest topography Britain has to offer. Our base at " Shackleton Hut" has a roaring log fire to welcome you as well as hot drinks throughout the day.

Good breeze on the hill helped
Clients in the sniper challenge did a great job - out to 926 yards in very very tricky cross winds which pushed you left then right and up and down

Geoff on his range day developed some solid data and refined his marksmanship skills - great efforts out to 966 and 1015 yards - a new PB

Almost zero wind from a mile - some say it’s cheating- others say grab the opportunity quick

Some great work from all involved……and impressive results from a piece of fi****ms history -almost 1300 yards with an SLR with bayonet attached. Many say the SLR is one of the best rifles to enter service with UK forces.

Ps the bayonet charge was apparently quite sedat and unsuccessful even though it was down hill😜

After lunch the group split - some to the wildlife area the rest falling back through different ranges and eventually the 20 inch gong at 1 mile shot
