And here we are, probably the last league table of the year. There are a couple of catch up games to play but we've played our 12 matches and have finished in an honourable 5th. Well done team. We are lucky to have a lot of good players in the club and with some extra practice over the summer who knows, the sky's the limit! Well played everyone. ###

Another fantastic night of bowls. The Neil Watkins knockout competition is certainly a very challenging competition where the home teams have to change mats half way through! Doreen, Carole, Gerald and Alwyn were leading after the first half and fought a valiant battle in the second half to lose by only one point. The other team of Andrea, Finley Paul H and Paul S had one of those nights where things just wouldn't go right, but it was a very enjoyable night of bowls. Well done everyone and good luck to Capel Dewi in the next round. ###

Our last game of the season and a great game at Capel Dewi. We needed points ....and got just one! Thank you Paul H in the singles, and a well deserved draw. The pairs and rinks had a very close game, the rinks went right down to the wire, all depending on the last wood of the last end, and it was about two inches too short. And what can we say about the triples? Emm, well, ...enough said! But a lovely evening of bowls. Thank you Capel Dewi and see you on Thursday for the Neil Watkins knockout competition. cxx

Well, I thought I'd be using the words blood bath, and slaughter of the innocents, but no! Our penultimate game in the league was against the mighty Rhydlewis and we gave it our all. Paul H. had a tough game in the singles, the pairs of Al and Gerald went down to the last end, but sadly they didn't gain any points. The triples of Sue, Carole and Paul D. played out of their skins and didn't allow Rhydlewis to score a point until the 11th end so a very satisfying 2 points there. The rinks of Andrea, Finley, Jane and Keith also had a great game staying in touch until the 9th end but finally went down after a great battle. A great evening of bowls, played in the best of spirits and we are all holding our heads up high. Well played everyone ###

We got points! A great evening of bowls at Caerwedros, and all games were very close, but we ended up with 6 points. All games were played in great spirits, but those crazy mats! Very challenging.

Great fun playing the first round of the Neil Watkins knockout competition. One of our two teams were drawn against Llandygwydd and both teams played great bowls but sadly we didn't go through to the next round, but everyone enjoyed themselves. Good luck in the next round Llandygwydd!
