Fantastic night last night in our Coaches & Parents v Players game to round off 2025. Such a fun night had by all including the supporters who came along. We won’t mention the score 🤣😉.

No games this weekend due to illnesses 🫤 It sure is doing the rounds at the moment but we all wish a speedy recovery for everyone 😄

On to monday were the players will be playing against there parents and coaches 🤪 who will claim the bragging rights 🫢

Today's focus is our number 1 and captain olly 💯

Olly has continued to show why he should be our captain. The drive and determination from this young man is something they should not be slept on 😁

Olly gives his all in training and always plays a vital part when it comes to games. His shot stopping and not being afraid of anything coming his way does not go unrecognised by coaches or fans watching 🫶

You do the club proud and we all know you will have a great career in the future as a goalkeeper 😄

We see this all too often and have unfortunately had players poached. If another team or pro youth team wants a player, do it the correct way and have some respect for fellow volunteers.

⚽️ Develop. Don’t Poach.

Grassroots football isn’t a transfer market.

It’s about patience, progress and giving children time to grow.

Too often, kids are tapped up with promises of “bigger teams” and “better football” the moment they start showing potential — draining confidence, loyalty and development along the way.

Great coaches don’t chase talent.
They build it.

They focus on:
✅ Improving players, not collecting them
✅ Teaching, not cherry-picking
✅ Long-term growth, not short-term wins

When we prioritise development over dominance, everyone wins — especially the kids.

Because the real success story isn’t who you signed…
It’s who you helped become better.

Let’s raise players, not raid teams.
