🏊‍♂️💚 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR LIVINGSTON SWIMMING CLUB! 💚🏊‍♀️

What a fantastic weekend of swimming, teamwork and club spirit for Livingston Swimming Club!

Saturday saw our swimmers take to the pool at the Dunedin Challenge Meet at Xcite Bathgate, while Kenny represented the club at the Scottish Masters Short Course Championships at Tollcross.

Between the two meets, Livingston came away with an incredible:

🥇 21 Gold
🥈 15 Silver
🥉 15 Bronze
🏆 1 Scottish Champion

A huge congratulations to all of our swimmers. The medal tally is fantastic, but what really stood out was the support, encouragement and team spirit shown throughout the weekend. 💚🖤

⭐ Special mention to Kenny

A massive well done to Kenny, who took gold and silver at the Scottish Masters Short Course Championships, becoming a multiple Scottish Champion in the process! 🏆🥇🥈

Kenny is a fantastic example to our younger swimmers of what can be achieved through dedication, hard work and a love for swimming. We’re incredibly proud to have him representing Livingston! 👏

💚 Going above and beyond

A special thank you also goes to Eve, Amelia, Freya and Anna, who competed at the Dunedin Meet on Saturday before coming along to the FVJL on Sunday to support and help our younger swimmers.

And especially Anna! ⭐

After getting just 15 minutes sleep at a sleepover on Saturday night, Anna still turned up at the FVJL on Sunday to help the team, swim AND do the announcing! 👏

That is some serious commitment to the club. Anna, you are an absolute superstar and a huge credit to Livingston Swimming Club. 💚🖤

⭐ Another milestone for Eve!

A huge congratulations to Eve on achieving her first ever sub 30 second 50m freestyle! 🏊‍♀️💨💚

Breaking the 30 second barrier is a fantastic milestone and a great reward for all the hard work Eve has been putting in.

Well done, Eve! Another big step forward! 👏💚🖤

🙌 Thank you to our volunteers

We also want to give a massive thank you to Susan MacFarlane for organising all of our parent volunteers for the FVJL. It takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes to make these events happen, and it is very much appreciated.

And of course, thank you to all of our parent volunteers, timekeepers and officials who gave up their Sunday to support the team. Without you, events like the FVJL simply couldn’t happen. 👏💚

The team spirit shown at both the Dunedin Meet on Saturday and the FVJL on Sunday was absolutely fantastic. Seeing our senior swimmers supporting the younger members of the club is exactly what we want Livingston Swimming Club to be about.

We’re incredibly proud of every single swimmer, parent, coach and volunteer who contributed to such a brilliant weekend.

💚🖤 Congratulations Margaret! 🖤💚

A huge congratulations to Livingston Swimming Club Life Member Margaret Somerville, who was recently recognised with a Service to Sport Award at the Club Sport West Lothian Awards! 🏆👏

Margaret has given an incredible amount to Livingston Swimming Club and to sport in West Lothian over many years. Her dedication, commitment and support have helped countless swimmers, families and the club as a whole.

It’s fantastic to see Margaret’s contribution recognised with this very well-deserved award. 💚

🏊💚What a season it’s been for Livingston Swimming Club! 💚🏊

As another fantastic season comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back with immense pride at everything our swimmers, coaches, volunteers and families have achieved together.

This season has been one of incredible progress, with so many milestones reached for the very first time in our club’s history:

🥉 Our first District medalists – congratulations Eve and Caitlin!
⭐ Our first SNAGS qualifier – an amazing achievement for Eve.
🏊 Our first long course training sessions.
🏅 Our first competition.
📚 Our first swimmers at the Scottish Schools Finals – well done Caitlin and Eve.
🌞 Our first swimmers at the Scottish Summer Meet – congratulations Blake and Eve.
🌊 Our first summer party at Lost Shore – a huge thank you to Angela for making it such a brilliant day!
🏆 Our first Swimmer of the Year Award, deservedly awarded to Anna.
👏 Our first national level finalists – a fantastic achievement for Eve and Caitlin.

These achievements are about far more than medals and qualifications. They reflect the hard work, commitment and determination shown by every swimmer who turns up to training, every coach who gives their time and expertise, every volunteer who works tirelessly behind the scenes, and every parent who supports our club week in, week out.

We’ve come a long way in only 3 years and it’s exciting to think that this is only the beginning. Together, we’re building something special.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this incredible season. Have a fantastic summer break, and we can’t wait to see what next season brings.

🌊🍕🏆 What a fantastic way to round off the season! 🏆🍕

Livingston Swimming Club had an amazing time at our Summer Fun Night at Lost Shore Surf Resort! It was a brilliant evening filled with laughter, great company, delicious pizza, and plenty of fun both in and out of the water.

A huge highlight of the evening was our awards ceremony, where we celebrated the incredible achievements, hard work, dedication, and progress of our swimmers throughout the season. Every swimmer should be proud of what they’ve accomplished, and it was wonderful to recognise their efforts alongside our coaches, volunteers, and families who make the club such a special place.

A special thank you to Angela for organising such a fantastic evening. Your hard work and attention to detail made it a memorable celebration for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the evening such a success. Here’s to a well earned summer break and an exciting season ahead!

To round off a brilliant week of club socials, our Masters swimmers also enjoyed a get together at Trail Bean Coffee. It was the perfect chance to catch up, relax, and enjoy some great coffee and even better company. Moments like these are what make Livingston Swimming Club such a fantastic community to be part of.

🏊💚Scottish Summer Meet – Aberdeen 💚🏊

A fantastic weekend at the Scottish Summer Meet in Aberdeen for Livingston Swimming Club!

A huge congratulations to Eve, who continued her impressive progress by making her first ever national final in the 100m Backstroke. Eve produced a brilliant personal best in the heats to secure her place in the final, before also swimming a personal best in the 50m Freestyle. Reaching a national final is a fantastic milestone and a reward for all of her hard work and dedication.

Well done also to Blake, who delivered a strong swim in the 100m Freestyle, finishing faster than his entry time. While he was just outside the time he achieved at the East District Summer Sizzler, it was another solid performance on the national stage.

Simply qualifying for the Scottish Summer Meet is a tremendous achievement, and both Eve and Blake represented Livingston Swimming Club brilliantly. Eve’s first national final is another exciting sign of the continued progress being made across the club.

A special mention also goes to Sophia, who also qualified for the meet but was unfortunately unable to attend due to another commitment. Qualifying for a national championship is an achievement in itself, and we look forward to seeing Sophia back in action soon.

Congratulations to all three swimmers and their families. A fantastic way to end the season. The future is looking bright for LSC! 💚👏🏊

What a fantastic day for Livingston Swimming Club at the East District Summer Sizzler! ☀️🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Our swimmers produced some incredibly fast racing, with plenty of PBs and long course best times achieved throughout the meet. It was especially great to see several swimmers experiencing long course racing for the very first time, gaining valuable experience and rising to the challenge brilliantly.

There was also time for some fun away from the pool, with a lunchtime game of UNO (pictured!) helping to keep spirits high between races. 🃏

The team spirit on display all day was outstanding, with swimmers supporting and encouraging each other from the first race to the last. It was a wonderful way to round off the season for many of our athletes.

While this competition marks the end of the season for most of the squad, the season isn’t quite over for Eve and Blake, who have qualified to compete at the Scottish Summer Meet in Aberdeen in July. We wish them the very best as they continue their preparations and look forward to cheering them on!

Well done to everyone who took part today and thank you to all the coaches, volunteers and families for your support throughout the season 💚

🏊‍♂️💚Another fantastic weekend of racing for Livingston Swimming Club! 💚🏊‍♂️

Our swimmers were in action at both the Warrender End of Season Meet and the Trojan Time Banded Meet, producing some outstanding performances, plenty of personal bests, and showing the fantastic team spirit that makes our club so special.

At the Warrender End of Season Meet, our Performance Squad swimmers delivered some exceptionally fast swimming and PBs galore across the weekend. The hard work put in throughout the season was on full display, with swimmers producing excellent performances and supporting each other every step of the way.

Meanwhile, at the Trojan Time Banded Meet, our Development and Junior Performance swimmers put together a superb set of performances, gaining valuable race experience and achieving some fantastic results.

A special mention also goes to swimmers achieving “too fast” times in their events: Zoe (50m Backstroke), Amber (50m Butterfly), Jacob (50m Butterfly & 50m Freestyle), James (50m Butterfly), and Ciara-Ann (50m Breaststroke & 50m Freestyle).

A special mention also to our relay team for winning the 4x50 freestyle relay in some style!🏆

Congratulations also to Isla C, Zoe, Rory, Jacob, Isla S and Minny-Lydi for securing multiple top-10 finishes throughout the meet.

Most importantly, the team spirit on display across both competitions was exceptional. From cheering teammates on poolside to celebrating PBs and successes together, every swimmer represented Livingston Swimming Club brilliantly.

Livingston Swimming Club is heading to Lost Shore Surf Resort, Ratho for an evening of fun, waves, pizza and refreshments!

📅 Thursday 25th June 2026
⏰ 5:30pm – 8:30pm
⚠️ Training will be cancelled that evening.

👥 Open to all Livingston Swimming Club swimmers and coaches from:
• Development Squad
• Junior Performance Squad
• Performance Squad

🏄 Bring your own fun!
Swimmers are welcome to bring along boogie boards, bodyboards, inflatables and other suitable water toys to enjoy during the session.

🍕 Followed by pizza & refreshments in the Lost Shore canteen.

💷 £10 per person

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents are welcome to drop off and collect at the end, stay and watch, or enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in the Lost Shore Café Bar.
