What a fantastic day for Livingston Swimming Club at the East District Summer Sizzler! ☀️🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Our swimmers produced some incredibly fast racing, with plenty of PBs and long course best times achieved throughout the meet. It was especially great to see several swimmers experiencing long course racing for the very first time, gaining valuable experience and rising to the challenge brilliantly.

There was also time for some fun away from the pool, with a lunchtime game of UNO (pictured!) helping to keep spirits high between races. 🃏

The team spirit on display all day was outstanding, with swimmers supporting and encouraging each other from the first race to the last. It was a wonderful way to round off the season for many of our athletes.

While this competition marks the end of the season for most of the squad, the season isn’t quite over for Eve and Blake, who have qualified to compete at the Scottish Summer Meet in Aberdeen in July. We wish them the very best as they continue their preparations and look forward to cheering them on!

🏊‍♂️💚Another fantastic weekend of racing for Livingston Swimming Club! 💚🏊‍♂️

Our swimmers were in action at both the Warrender End of Season Meet and the Trojan Time Banded Meet, producing some outstanding performances, plenty of personal bests, and showing the fantastic team spirit that makes our club so special.

At the Warrender End of Season Meet, our Performance Squad swimmers delivered some exceptionally fast swimming and PBs galore across the weekend. The hard work put in throughout the season was on full display, with swimmers producing excellent performances and supporting each other every step of the way.

Meanwhile, at the Trojan Time Banded Meet, our Development and Junior Performance swimmers put together a superb set of performances, gaining valuable race experience and achieving some fantastic results.

A special mention also goes to swimmers achieving “too fast” times in their events: Zoe (50m Backstroke), Amber (50m Butterfly), Jacob (50m Butterfly & 50m Freestyle), James (50m Butterfly), and Ciara-Ann (50m Breaststroke & 50m Freestyle).

A special mention also to our relay team for winning the 4x50 freestyle relay in some style!🏆

Congratulations also to Isla C, Zoe, Rory, Jacob, Isla S and Minny-Lydi for securing multiple top-10 finishes throughout the meet.

Most importantly, the team spirit on display across both competitions was exceptional. From cheering teammates on poolside to celebrating PBs and successes together, every swimmer represented Livingston Swimming Club brilliantly.

Well done to all swimmers, coaches, officials and volunteers for another successful weekend. Thanks to coach David for looking after the team at the Warrender meet on Saturday and the Trojan meet on Sunday and to coach Joe for looking after the team at the Warrender meet on Sunday💚

🌊🏄‍♂️ SPLASH AT THE SHORE PARTY! 🏄‍♀️🌊

Livingston Swimming Club is heading to Lost Shore Surf Resort, Ratho for an evening of fun, waves, pizza and refreshments!

📅 Thursday 25th June 2026
⏰ 5:30pm – 8:30pm
⚠️ Training will be cancelled that evening.

👥 Open to all Livingston Swimming Club swimmers and coaches from:
• Development Squad
• Junior Performance Squad
• Performance Squad

🏄 Bring your own fun!
Swimmers are welcome to bring along boogie boards, bodyboards, inflatables and other suitable water toys to enjoy during the session.

🍕 Followed by pizza & refreshments in the Lost Shore canteen.

💷 £10 per person

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents are welcome to drop off and collect at the end, stay and watch, or enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in the Lost Shore Café Bar.

We understand there may have been some of you who missed out on the first draw and we may also be doing another round, so if your name isn’t on here, or you have a team with a slightly lower chance of winning (Like coach David🤣) don’t worry! There’s still time to get entries in! We may not get 48 entries for the second round so obviously the prize fund could be lower than round 1 but still a great chance to win! If we do not receive 48 entries, the person who draws the team that goes furthest in the tournament will win the prize, as the team that wins the tournament may not be drawn.

Well done to Caitlin and Eve who were swimming at the Lothian distance meet in Prestonpans yesterday. Caitlin swam a whole minute faster than her entry time in the 1500 freestyle and Eve had a strong race in the 400 freestyle, very close to her previous best time after a long weekend of racing. Both of the girls were also competing at the Scottish Schools finals in Aberdeen on Friday, so will have had a well earned rest last night! Well done both!💚

A huge congratulations to LSC swimmers Caitlin and Eve who proudly represented their schools at the Scottish Schools Finals in Aberdeen yesterday! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Caitlin qualified for the final of the 50m Breaststroke and finished 8th in her very first national level event, achieving PBs in both the heats and the final. Eve produced a strong performance, achieving a long course best time to finish 10th in the 100m Freestyle.

Well done also to all the other swimmers representing West Lothian. Competing at the Scottish Schools Finals is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown throughout the season.

A big thank you as well to our Head Coach David, who worked alongside Fiona Donald from Swim-IT to support and look after the West Lothian swimmers throughout the event.

Congratulations to everyone involved on a successful day of racing and representing your schools and county with pride!

Next up, Caitlin and Eve are both swimming at the Lothian distance meet on Sunday, with Eve swimming the 400 freestyle and Caitlin taking on the 1500 freestyle.

🏊‍♂️🌟 LIVINGSTON SWIMMING CLUB’S FIRST EVER GRADED MEET 🌟🏊‍♀️

What an incredible day we had on Saturday at Livingston Swimming Club’s first ever Graded Meet!

From the first race of the morning right through to the fast-paced finals sessions, there was some truly fantastic swimming on display. The atmosphere throughout the day was electric, with swimmers from all clubs bringing positivity, determination, sportsmanship and plenty of excitement to the pool. We were delighted to see so many outstanding performances and huge personal best times achieved across every age group and event.

A huge thank you to all of the clubs who attended and helped make our inaugural competition such a success. Your support, enthusiasm and excellent racing created a fantastic environment for everyone involved.

Most importantly, thank you to every swimmer who competed. You all represented your clubs brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of your efforts.

Events like this simply cannot happen without an army of volunteers working behind the scenes. Thank you to all of our organisers, volunteers, technical officials, timekeepers, team managers, coaches, parents and everyone else who contributed their time and energy throughout the day. Your support helped make our first ever competition a huge success.

🥇🥈 Monty – Gold in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay, Silver in 100m Freestyle and 4th in the 100m Backstroke.

🥇 Mateusz – Gold in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay and 6th in the 100m Freestyle Final.

An extra congratulations to our victorious 4x50m Freestyle Relay team of Blake, Rory, Monty and Mateusz who combined brilliantly to take home 🥇 gold!

The medals were fantastic, but equally impressive were the huge PBs achieved throughout the day by our swimmers. The hard work being put in at training is clearly paying off, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone’s efforts.

Thank you once again to everyone who played a part in making Livingston Swimming Club’s first Graded Meet such a memorable occasion. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did, and we look forward to welcoming you back next year!
