TEAM TAP AT THE REGIONAL FINALS

Congrats to all 4 players from The Brewery Tap (Sanctuary) for their performance at the Merseyside Regional Final in Bolton, but especially to Nick, who stormed his way to 2nd place out of 132 runners!

Let's catch up with some of the action from the last few weeks.

2 weeks ago, Adam spent the first hour of the game hitting nothing, only for everyone to fold pre-flop to a min-bet with his pocket Aces. Despite this, he played the patient game and took down the final game of last season.

This wasn't enough to displace Sharky from the top of the league, who won his 3rd Taproom/Sanctuary League title and moves onto the Regional Final with our other league qualifiers.

Last week was the start of the new season, with the first 100 points of the season going to Zack! 12 more weeks still to go though. Reckon you have what it takes to win the league? Come on down to the LBC Taproom on Lime Street and register from 7pm!

Last week ended up with Sharky and Nick - 1st and 2nd in the league respectively - in a tense heads-up battle, which was eventually won by Sharky, who extends his lead at the top of the table as we edge towards the end of the season.

Sharky isn't here this week however, so there's still a chance to catch him tomorrow night. Head on down to the Taproom and register from 7pm.

This week's winner was Helen Jarvis, in only her 2nd game playing at the Taproom! This shoots her straight into 17th place, and only 30 points off the Play-Off positions!

Reminder that the top 3 in the league at the end of the season get an automatic qualifying spot in the Regional Final at the Leo Casino, whilst 4th-11th in the league play a Play-Off game for the 4th qualifying spot. If you win the Regional Final, then you win the trip to Vegas!

With 5 games to go til the end of the season, there's still all to play for in the league!

Last week, Kev and Seb agreed to split the 1st and 2nd place prize money, and play one hand for the final positions. Kev's 64-suited turned out to be a monster, and he took the 100 points for 1st place.

Poker night tonight at the Taproom on Lime Street!

Registration from 7pm. Game starts at 7.30pm. £6 buy-in with one £6 rebuy allowed in the first hour. 6500 starting chips with an extra 1000 for anyone who volunteers to deal for a table.

Late entry available for the first hour for previously registered players only. First-time players must register before 7.30pm.
