This is what happens when you stop looking for the quickest way to lose weight 👏🏻

This lady came to me after years of diets and short-term fixes.

She wanted results (obviously 😂) but what we’ve worked on most hasn’t actually been eating less or training more.

It’s been finding something that works in her actual life.

She’s learnt how to plan her food without it taking over her life.

She’s stopped seeing meals out, weekends away or school holidays as a reason to “start again Monday”.

She’s found ways to move that she genuinely enjoys.

She’s navigated illness, solo parenting, holidays, busy weeks and weeks where the gym just hasn’t happened.

As you can see her body has changed. 🙌🏻 But my favourite change is she recently told me:

“I want to feel confident and happy in my own skin, not related to weight but related to health.”

This is HUGE progress. The goal was never to spend the rest of her life trying to be smaller. It was to become stronger, healthier, happier and actually know how to look after herself without another diet telling her what to do.

And she’s doing exactly that. ❤️

If you’re a busy working mum who’s fed up of constantly starting again, DM me “CHANGE” and I’ll tell you how I can help.

Summer is done 🥹☀️

Honestly, I feel like we packed SO much into this one.

Holidays, days out, football, far too much food, a few wines, lots of laughs, getting in the pool, making memories and generally having absolutely no routine whatsoever 😂

And I loved it.

I didn’t train as much as usual and not every meal fit perfectly into my calories. BUT, I still walked, moved my body, got some workouts in when I could and looked after myself without letting it take over my summer.

I think that’s probably the biggest thing I’ve learned over the years.

You don’t have to choose between having a life and looking after yourself.

So no dramatic “summer is over, time to undo the damage” from me today.

Just back to a bit more routine, a bit more structure and doing the things that make me feel good.

Here’s to a strong September ❤️💪🏻

But they will remember that you got in ❤️

They’ll remember messing about in the pool, jumping in, racing you and shouting “Mummy watch this!” about 400 times 😂

As it’s the last Sunday of the school holidays, I’ve been thinking about how quickly another summer has gone.

If you’ve spent this summer sitting at the side of the pool because you didn’t feel comfortable getting in, please don’t wait until a few weeks before your holiday next year to decide you want to do something about it.

You’ve got time.

Start now, do it slowly.

Get a bit stronger. Move more. Eat better most of the time. Look after yourself.

Not because you need to have a “bikini body” by next summer 🙄 but because you deserve to feel good enough in yourself that your body isn’t the reason you miss out.

Your kids genuinely don’t care what size you are or what you look like in a swimsuit.

They just want Mum in the pool.

And next summer will be here before we know it ❤️

This is why I’ll never only focus on the scales 👏

Look what can happen when a woman focuses on getting stronger, fitter and more consistent instead.

Steph is a busy nurse, mum and shift worker. She didn’t need perfection. She needed support, structure and something realistic that fit around real life.

The biggest thing I’m proud of Steph for is how she FEELS now.

✔️ Stronger
✔️ Fitter at work
✔️ More confident
✔️ More energy for her kids
✔️ Happier in herself

Women are told constantly to just “lose weight”. But I’d much rather help women build a body and mindset that actually supports the life they’ve worked so hard to build ❤️

40 years old and today I learned I cannot be trusted on a treadmill 😂

I’d love to tell you I fell off because I was running too fast but I wasn’t.
I’d literally JUST walked into the gym.

Headphones on, completely oblivious, stepped onto a treadmill that someone had left running and FLEW straight back off it 😭😂

So today’s workout started with a grazed knee, bruised pride and me looking around to see who’d witnessed it.

Please tell me someone else has done this because I cannot be the only one 😂

If you know me, you’ll know the fact I’ve taken my watch off on holiday is a BIG deal 😂

And judging by that tan line, it doesn’t happen very often.

I love my watch. I love knowing my steps. I love tracking my workouts and seeing how much I’ve move but I also think there’s something quite nice about getting to the point where you don’t need the numbers to tell you whether you’ve had a “good” day.

I’m still walking.
I’m still swimming.
I’m still moving.
I’m still making choices that make me feel good.

I’m just not checking a screen to see whether they count and I think that’s a big part of making health and fitness actually fit into your life.

The habits don’t disappear just because the watch comes off.

Anyone else feel slightly naked without their watch?! 😂

Final full week of the school holidays ❤️ I’m actually writing this from my sunbed on holiday ☀️😂

My routine isn’t normal. I’m eating out more, having a few drinks, moving when I can and enjoying the break.

And I’m absolutely NOT spending this week thinking about how I’m going to make up for it when I get home.

Because I don’t have anything to make up for.

The meals out.
The ice creams.
The holidays.
The days where you didn’t train.
The weeks where the kids came first.

That’s summer. That’s life.

September doesn’t need to start with punishment, cutting everything out and suddenly trying to train 5 days a week.

Enjoy this last week. Keep hold of the little habits that make you feel good where you can and when routine comes back, we’ll build from there 🤍

Anyone else ready for routine again but also not quite ready for summer to be over? 😂
