Hi all,

This page is under new management, thanks to John and Matt for handing over the reins for this coming season to myself!
Will hope to keep everybody up to date regarding, fixtures, scores, draws and everything inbetween in the coming days, see you all soon for the 2026/27 season of the Prescot and Liverpool Snooker League😀

Guess who’s back, back again…..fleeting visit to Facebook whilst I wait for a taxi…..

This week there are a couple of finals taking place.

Ste Winstone v Tom O’Dowd in the handicap on Tuesday. Old git vs a young prodigy!

John Wignell vs Ian Jones on Wednesday in the championship, can Ian stop John winning it three times in a row?

Both at Parish Church. Both 7:45 start.

It would be great if we could get some spectators for both, and the beer is dirt cheap!

Hello everybody, remember us? I am glad you do because I’d forgotten all about this page!

Anyway, a quick update:

At the weekend, six Prescot and Liverpool league lads took on the best in Merseyside in the group stages of the interleague tournament.

Lee gave a small writeup below:

We came through a real tough group, beating Widnes 4-2, drawing 3-3 with St Helens, and then 3-3 with Formby. We won the ultimate blue ball shootout v Formby to top the group, which is an outstanding achievement.
Special praise goes to Ste Winstone, Alan Dodd too, who were both excellent, but the star of the show today was *Chris Johnson* . Won all his frames and hit a 71 for good measure 👏👀😎
El capitano wasn't expecting to play much, yet with a last minute pullout was thrust into action. There's fight in the old dog yet......

Formby qualified too in 2nd spot.
The table finished as:
1. Prescot & Lpool
2. Formby
3. Widnes
4. St Helens

We reconvene on the 10th May for the semis and final. We're up against Wallasey league in the semi final.

A real pleasure running the team today. The spirit amongst us was brill 😊

Chris and Tony’s snookerathon in aid of Brandon Winstone:

Chris and Tony have confirmed they are playing 4pm Sunday 25th May til 4pm Monday 26th May at Prescot Parish Chruch, Warrington Road, L34 5QX.

People are welcome to just pop in when they want and play a guest frame against one them for a minimum £10 donation or a frame against each of them for a min £20 donation as they will be using the two tables. Alternatively people are welcome just to pop in for a chat to keep them comany/offer some morale support, it’s gonna be a long session!
