Fermanagh Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open mat on fri morning from 9.30 to 11.00 Our coach is Lyle Gawley who is a brown belt in bjj under Prof Antonio La Salandra.

We are based in Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh and have Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes every Tuesday and Thursday for Kids age 6+ (6.30pm to 7.30pm) and adults (7.30pm to 9.00pm). Fermanagh Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, affiliated to Rigan Machado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association, Europe, is the BJJ section of Fermanagh Ju Jitsu. We are an official RAPID Academy under Professor Antonio La Salandra who is the hea

d of the Rigan Machado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association in Europe. Our goal is simply to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and help others do the same. Our classes are open to everyone regardless of age, gender, experience, religion, ability or background. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a combat sport and self defence system based on grappling which uses throws, joint manipulation, chokes, leverage and pressure to overcome an opponent or attacker. As well as self defence and martial skills it is an excellent activity for fitness, conditioning, confidence, mental health and resilience.

At Alzheimer’s Society, we vow to help end the devastation caused by dementia, through dedicated support and research into life-changing treatments. But we can’t do it without you.

On Saturday 1st August 2026 members of Fermanagh Ju Jitsu and Fermanagh Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will hike to the top of Cuilcagh in County Fermanagh carrying mats, grapple for 2 hours and then hike back again. All proceeds raised will go directly to The Alzheimer's Society who do important work with those suffering from dementia and their families in our local community and beyond.

This is a Summer Camp for kids of all abilities (aged 6+)- those who have trained in Ju Jitsu before and also complete beginners. The camp will cover a mix of Ju Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kids that train in one of those styles already will have the chance to train in both. We will play games related to some of the skills needed in ju jitsu and learn our techniques in a fun and child centred way. Our summer camps have completely filled in previous years so booking in advance is vital.

Once you have paid for your summer camp you should download the TeamUp members app to your phone and register your child for each class of the camp by selecting that date and time.

Kids should wear a ju jitsu gi if they already have one and if not just wear something comfortable.

All participants should bring a water bottle (no fizzy drinks or snacks).

Please arrive 5 minutes early so we can get started on time and get as much time on the mats as possible. Parents should bring their kids in to drop them off and come back at 12pm to collect them. Parents are not permitted to stay during the class.
