Crickets are a great source of healthy fats but oxygen and sunlight can both cause the fats to degrade. To ensure our crickets stay fresh for as long as possible we pack them under a light vacuum (so they don't get crushed!) in sturdy foil bags.

Jo started breeding insects commercially around 30 years ago, principally supplying the reptile food market. Today, his company, Monkfield Nutrition Ltd, employs 120 people in the UK, is the largest commercial breeder of insects in the UK, and has just relocated to larger premises giving them significantly increased capacity to be able to supply the human food market. Currently they can supply around 700 kg of dried product per week.
