Ok.

The "Bungee Rig" is "NOT" a new rig its been around for 40 years.

Strange Things:
Something strange is happening.
We now have "The Nora Rig".
(With a big U Bend).

A "Spiral Rig".
Comes with a stick.
With - pegs:
Red & Black.
Steaming
Twisting / Stretching / Pulling.

What a load of total - nonsense. Lofty!

Tip 1:
The Original Mini Bungee is:
Old School.
Been around since the 1990's.
Time Tested.
Easy to build.
A Tiny Rig.
Very Covert.
5 Minutes to construct it.
100 % Effective.
Cheap as chips.

We all marvelled at the latest new flavour and could not wait to make a 3 Egg Mix and get down to the lake.

Chocolate Malt.
He was a "Genius" pure class and way ahead of his time.

Fact:
Trying to "Re-Invent" the wheel for profit, makes you look like a total bunch of bellends 'Guys'.

"Return Of The Mac".

Apologies:
Sorry we have been very busy with other business activities of late.
Had 2 office moves.
London.
East Coast Lincolnshire.

However we are back with "Mr Phil Gregory" on "Deepings 1" for a whole week very soon.

It will be nice to be back on "The Syndicate Carp Water" and out of the office.

Tip 1:
We have doctored a few "Growlers".
We have fermented them for 6 weeks in:
L Amino Acids. (Feed Stim).
Min-Amino. (Feed-Stim).

Home made "Allyl Isothiocyanate". (AITC).

Tip 2:
The "Growlers" will be the only "Carp Bait" for the hair / hook that we are taking to the water.
We will also have a Gallon or two of Casters / Some H**p / Some Ground-Bait.
(Phil is wise enough to have a 'Fridge' on site so we can store the 'Casters' and keep them fresh).

Tip 3.
We are fishing a nice deep "Margin" for the whole week.
The usual "Margin Fishing" rules apply.
(We will have a "Rake Head & Cord" with us as usual to rake out a nice fresh patch & disturb the lake bed).

Tip 4.
We "WILL" have a 'Carp Rod' set up ready to cast to showing "Carp" in the "Evenings & Dawn".
(Big Carp - Show A Lot - On Deepings 1).

We like to cast a "Growler" at "A Big Carp" that shows his / herself.
Simply because we are "Old School Carp Farts".
(A proper. 'Blaaaaduuuush'!! Always deserves a cast in the general direction. Even in the dark) !!

"Deepings 1".

TT.
Off the mark on the opening day.

Rattled off at 0500 hrs this morning.

Tip 1...
Single Rod.
Margin.
Picked up a "Amino Fermented Growler"
Mini Bungee Rig.
Size 8 Hook. (Long Shank).

Tip 2...
Fished over a pound of blitzed:
(Thats 1 pound in weight).
Amino - Fermented / Maples / Growlers / Bulger Wheat / Tares / H**p / Corn Steep / Fish Sauce / Dark Soy / Crab Extract.
Bound together in a a kilo ish of "Amino Black" ground bait.
Plopped a very small ball into the margin every hour or 2.

Tip 3....
Its a learning curve at the moment.
Yes, we know that the preferred method is to fill it in with "Kilo's" of "Boiled Magic".
(Like 20 / 30 kilo) !
However we are not certain that this is necessary at the moment, it seems like a Forced Method backed up by "Group Think" to us.

Point:
We may be wrong ! Lofty.
"Filling It In Maybe The Method" ?
Embracing the possibility of being incorrect is a hallmark of intellectual humility and a very constructive way to learn.

Time & hard graft will "OUT" the true method on this stunning little water.

"Hectic But I Think He Is Ready".

We have been a bit all over the place today, getting stuff sorted out or trying to get stuff done.

It doesn't help that Royal Mail cant deliver our Feed Stimulants on time, they went to the Royal Mail sorting office and not our office.
The good news is we can collect them a 0800 hrs manana.

TT will grab the last few bits and get off to Bourne for the midday draw and then get set up.

Ready for a late start as "TT" has a meeting in Lincoln that he has to attend.

Anyhow, this will give him time to avoid all the noise / spodding / crashing & banging, so by the time he gets back everyone on the water should have calmed down and started to relax in their session.

Tip 1....
1 Rod layed on a freshly raked out margin spot is the plan.
(This way you do not have to worry about the lottery of the draw. Just plop the rake head in very quietly and scrap a nice fresh bottom spot and let the Carp come and have a nosy).

Tip 2....
"The Bungee Rig". To be fished over fermented / Growlers / Maple Peas / Tares / Bulger Wheat / H**p / Bird Seeds & Amino.
(Its been fermenting for several months now - It smells very ye**ty - maple syrupy - molasses - fish saucy & sweet with a big hint of alchohol. Like a Vodka Distillery or a Burton on Trent B**r Brewery).

"The Swim Draw On Deepings 1".

It happens at 1200 hrs on "Deepings 1".

1st July 2026.

Its Very Old School.

A Stunning Old Ritual.

CC are on the water - 4 days on from the draw.

We are like kids on Xmas Eve. Lofty.

Point:
A 'Swim Draw' on the opening day.

Before the "Syndicate" rotation starts.

Its so very 1980's "Old School".

Well done "Phil" for keeping it so real mate.

We Love You !

Note:
We may ask for a little "Devine Intervention" regarding swims.

Tip 1....
You cant catch "Big Carp" on a very small water if they are not in front of you.
This will sort its self out as the months progress once we are free to move around the water and fish from the Trolly.
But "NOT" on opening day.
They are either in front of you.
Or they are not.

Tip 2....
However its irrelevant on the opening day.
Its all about the "CARP - KARMA".
Just being on the water.
Mellowing Out.
In Nature.
Carp Fishing.
Freedom.
Happiness.
Lofty.

"Tick Tock The Clock Is Ticking".

The 1st of July is approaching fast.

"On Deepings 1".

We have walked the water a few times now, like 25 times.

We have sat down for a few hours a time / pondered / looked for the patterns / contemplated / planned.

We now know what we are going to lay down onto the sandy spots 2 swims to the left of the Car Park should it be free.

1 X Tiger Nuts Matured in Yeast & Amino's.
1 X CC's Shellfish Chum. (Heavy on Clams & Mussels).
1 X CC’s - Allyl Isothiocyanate Mix.
(Ref: "Allyl Isothiocyanate"......Once we love it & we are 100% happy with It. You will have the recipe - Deepings 1 will help us get Ii sorted out - This season - Hopefully).

Gallon of Casters.
Gallon of Chopped Worms.

Size 8 Hooks. (Long Shanks).
Green Berkley Braid.
Tiny Hook Baits to Match.
(The Bait wont be bigger than an 8 mill thats for certain).
Nice and steady.
No Noise !!

So:
On the 30th of June we will pop down and wait.
Lincoln to Bourne = 40 mins boot down.
Have a BBQ.
A B**r / Bottle of W**e.
Have a bit of banter with Phil.

Tie a few rigs to suit the water as we see it on the 30th June.
Have a mess about with Bait to match the hatch once we are actually on the water to suite the conditions.
Have another walk around the water or 10.

Then:
Its 4 days days on.

"On Corn Steep Liquor"

The Sunday Sermon. "On CSL".

A golden oldie, not new - but an absolute goodie.

Infact way back in the 1980's when we started 'Carp Fishing'.
It was the only "Home-Made Liquid Animo" that we could produce in bulk.
(Mr Rod Hutchinson gave us his Homemade Recipe. We have never changed it).

Sadly it seems to have gone slightly out of fashion these days for some strange reason.

What is CSL:
CSL (Corn Steep Liquor) is a highly effective, natural liquid food used as a Carp attractant made from fermented maize and molasses.
It is packed with Amino Acids, Proteins, Vitamins, and natural Sugars.

Whats in the dry ingreedients:
Unprepared.
30% to 45% crude protein.
7% to 15% free Amino Acids on a dry matter basis.

In Liquid Form:
Once fully fermented & prepared !
'HALF' of its total nitrogen mass exists as 'Free Amino Acids'.
The remaining half as 'Small Peptides'.
(Peptides are small Amino Acids - instructing cells to perform specific actions - like growth & tissue repair).

Typical Amino Acid Breakdown.
Predominant Amino Acids:
Alanine is usually the most abundant, making up about 25% of the total free Amino Acids in CSL.

Other Major Amino Acids:
Arginine. Aspartic Acid. Glutamic Acid. Histidine. Leucine. Lysine. Serine. & Valine.

Minor Amounts:
Phenylalanine. Methionine. Tyrosine. Proline and Cystine.

Tip 1.....
'Quality CSL' remains one of the most effective Amino Acid attractants on the market today.

Tip 2....
Do not ignore 'CSL Amino'.
Its a class act and it 'WILL' increase your catch rate.

"Fatty Acids & What Do They Do".

OK.

They are about to become all the rage, because the industry needs something new to sell to you.

This is NOT new information nor is it a new bait additive, anyone with some history in the Craft will / should have an understanding about what fatty acids are and what they do.

OK. We will try to keep it simple and put it into Laymen's terms:

All 'Carp' are highly attracted to dense energy sources, making specific fatty acids—particularly Omega-3s, Omega-6s, and short-chain carboxylic acids like N-butyric acid—powerful feeding triggers.

These compounds provide essential nutrients carp cannot synthesise themselves.

The top fatty acids that Carp love include:
1. Omega-3.
2. Omega-6 Fatty Acids (Eicosapentaenoic Acid - EPA.
3. Docosahexaenoic Acid - DHA):

Found abundantly in Krill, Crab, Shrimp, Marine Shellfish in their natural oils, juices and flesh.
These highly unsaturated fatty acids trigger strong feeding reactions because they are essential for Carp metabolism and growth. They also taste seriously good, both to;. You & Me & Carp

Example:
(When on holiday around the Mediterranean. That taste that you get from sucking on a Fresh - Grilled - Garlic - King Prawn. Especially sucking on the juices from inside the King Prawns head. This is the flavour of Omega - Umami - Rich - Fats. The taste that lingers in your mouth for ages, the taste that you cant wash away even with a bottle or 2 of chilled w**e).

N-Butyric Acid:
This is a very special one:
Its a short-chain carboxylic acid that gives off a very pungent, cheesy, or buttery smell.
It is one of the most effective known synthetic or natural attractants in angling, prompting immediate interest.

Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) & Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA): Found in plant-based sources, these are critical components that complement fish based nutrients and provide sustained energy release in baits.

Short Cut:
If you want a short cut.
Grab some Crab Extract it contains a load of really good fatty acids.

But read up on the subject and have a play with fatty acids in your own time, they will help your catch rate.

"The Proof Is In The Pudding".

"Deepings 1" we will be well and truly set up and eager to get going from the 1st of July.
(0001 hrs Zulu - we will be on the "FEBA" ready to go).

We can feel a few lumps coming out to play.
Why are we so confident ?
1. We have access to the water.
2. We have all the time that we need on the water.
3. We can do 4 days a week !
4. Its 4 days on 3 days off.
5. Plus we have 40 years of "Bait & Water Craft Knowledge" on our side these days.

However:
What to do with the 3 days off !

Kingfisher / Swan Lake - Bluebells Complex Tansor.
(Lots of Lovely Lumps).
Cromwells:
(Home of the 30's & 40"s).
Pool 5 A1 Pits:
(A Hidden 50 Lb + Mirror Carp -Shhhhush).

They are all 30 / 40 mins along the A1 from Bourne.
Just to annoy the so called "Complex Experts".
We like to turn up and disprove their "Group Think & Methods".

We do 'NOT' post our 'Big Carp Captures' usually.
The pictures do not help you.
"The Methods & Bait Profiles" - 'WILL' help you and are worth their weight in gold.

However:
We may pop a couple of "Lumps" up for you this season because we are ordered to do so by our mate "Big Phil G" !

The Boy:
We are sending "TT" into the mix.
For the next 6 months ish.
Why ?
He is 'Hard Core'.
He will put a shift in without any complaints come rain or shine !
