🔴 WE'RE HIRING — GROUNDSTAFF VACANCY 🔴

Lichfield Cricket Club is looking for a new member of our groundstaff to help keep Collins Hill in top condition and play a vital role in maintaining high-quality cricket facilities across the season. 🏏

⏰ Hours: 20–25 hours per week during peak season
📅 Contract: Seasonal role (March–September)
📍 Location: Collins Hill, Lichfield, WS13 7SQ

What the role involves:
Preparation and maintenance of our cricket square and grounds, match-day preparation and support, general upkeep of the practice areas, and operating and looking after grounds equipment — all to keep our playing standards high throughout the summer.

Who we're looking for:
Someone reliable, hardworking and self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and genuine pride in presentation. Experience in cricket ground preparation and turf maintenance is preferred but not essential — a real interest in cricket and outdoor work goes a long way. Full details are on the graphic. 👇

Google us, as Facebook now want to charge us for sharing our website details. Thats also a shame but true, even though we spend £200 a month on adverts.

It’s been a pleasure to host Lichfield Community Football & Sports over this summer holiday, giving them a safe and welcoming environment to allow them to provide their HAF, football and multi sports camp, for our local children.

We provided the children with a hot, cooked lunch every day, fuelling them for a full day of activities and sports.

It’s been so lovely to see such great friendships blossom and their confidence grow by the day; (the coaches did ok too 😉🤣)

We look forward to having them back in the October half term ⚽️🏀🏑🏏🥏🏅

🚨The Dog Show and Fun Day Postponed until further notice 🚨

The Dog Show and Fun Day scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed due to the expected bad weather coming in over the bank holiday weekend.
Rain is forecast most the day today and shortly after we were due to open tomorrow, we are pretty sure no one really wants soggy dogs or drenched kids.
Neither event was viable without the other so the decision was made, we hope we don’t regret it, as we all know what the British weather is like.
The cheque presentation for the charities that helped collect money on Bower day will still go ahead, but it will now be in the club room.
Sorry for the inconvenience
