☀️ One month to go until Summer Creative School begins!

We are getting so excited to welcome children for one, two or three weeks of creativity, movement, outdoor play and summer adventures.

This year feels extra special because there is so much that's new…

📍 A NEW LOCATION
We will be at St Joseph’s Infant School, next to Jubilee Park in E10, with the whole site and playground just for us. More space, more freedom, more fun.

👧 ACTIVITIES BY AGE GROUP
Children aged 4 to 10 will be grouped by age, so everything feels right for their stage, confidence and interests.

📅 THE DATES
Three weeks to choose from
- 20 to 24 July
- 27 to 31 July
- 3 to 7 August

Expect a packed week of brilliant activities, including:

🎪 Circus skills with performer arielle | circus artist
💃 Dance and yoga with our teachers
🎶 DJ Skills workshop with Dreamhouse Records
🌿 Forest school and nature walks (with and Jackson Watts)
🧵 Sewing and clothes upcycling with
⚽ Outdoor games and sports
🎨 Art sessions, including landscape painting outside (with artfolk, Neon Naked Life Drawing and )
…and lots more creative surprises along the way.

We are delighted to be taking our age 8-10 class to tomorrow evening to watch Acosta Danza Yunior Next Generation, which features the most recent graduates from Carlos Acosta’s Cuban Dance Academy.

Being able to offer trips like this is important to Wee Movers, because the opportunity to watch many different types of dance and be inspired by other dancers is just as important for your children as what they learn in our dance classes.

Just a reminder that Wee Movers classes are running this week until Saturday and we'll be taking a wee break next week for half-term.

Our May Half-Term Creative School has sold out, so if you managed to get places, we'll see you on May 28 and 29.

For everyone else, we'll see you in the first week of June for our new summer half term.

📣 Booking for the second half of our Summer Term is NOW OPEN for our Walthamstow and Blackhorse Lane classes! If you’d like your little one to join Wee Movers, book the block before all spaces are gone.

Weekly classes every Saturday:
🌳 Walthamstow Village
Age 2-3 (grown-ups join in) at 10am
Ages 4-7 (drop your child off) at 10:55am

🐴 Blackhorse Lane
Age 2-3 (grown-ups join in) at 10:15am
Ages 4-7 (drop your child off) at 11:15am

These classes start after the half term break and run through the summer, with lots of joyful, sunny sessions to look forward to.

📣 New half term places are now live for our Adult Contemporary Beginners class on Monday evenings!

If you’ve always wanted to try contemporary dance, now’s your chance.

📍 Leyton Cricket Ground, E10 6RJ
📅 Mondays from 1 June to 13 July
⏰ 7pm to 8pm

This class is open to complete beginners, so no experience is necessary. Our fantastic teacher, Virginia Poli , will guide you through the basics of contemporary technique and set choreography in this supportive, friendly space.

The ethos is the same as for all Wee Movers classes. We create an open and inclusive environment for you to explore and connect through dance and, most importantly, to enjoy yourself.

Our improvers class at 8pm is already sold out, so if you want to join us on a Monday night, book your place for the beginners class now via our website (🎟️link in bio). Spaces go fast!

📣 Only two Baby Dance sessions left until the end of term and Drop-in slots are available!

Come along and enjoy music, movement and connection. Our Baby Dance classes are for little ones aged 0 to 12 months and their grown-ups. Dads are welcome too. Book via the link in bio.

No babyish music, just uplifting tunes, gentle dancing and a chance to meet parents with children the same age.

Continuing our collaboration with Circus, we have a special guest joining us for our May Half-Term Creative School. 🎪

will be leading a special circus workshop. She is a uniquely talented acrobatic clown who tumbles her way into the hearts of her audience with charming absurdity and seamless slapstick.

Born in Quebec, Arielle has over a decade of competitive gymnastics training and a degree in circus arts from Ecole de Cirque de Quebec. She’s been a key performer with Cirque Eloize, Gop Variete Theatre, Flip Fabirque, Mimbre and Machine de Cirque. Arielle has gained recognition on international stages such as Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain.

Most recently, she’s been the lead clown with The Revel Pucks Circus as well as Assistant Director of cabaret The Ruckus.

And we can't wait to welcome her to our Creative School later this month.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Wee Movers 5th birthday bash!

It was a gloriously sunny day and the drinks generously donated by Pip Organics went down a storm with kids and adults alike! Everyone enjoyed playing or dancing along to some fantastic tunes from Simon Singleton of SHAKE THE HIGH ROAD.

Thanks to our teachers for helping out on the day and, as always, a big thanks to our pals for serving snacks and keeping our glasses topped up.

I'm so proud to have come this far in 5 years, I can't wait to see what the next 5 years bring!
