🏟️ WE'VE MADE IT... OLD TRAFFORD! 🟡⚫

What started as a dream is now a reality.

Today, the Leominster Mons are standing outside one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world, creating memories that will last a lifetime. For many of our boys, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one they have earned through their hard work, commitment and love for the game.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising events, donated, sponsored us, bought raffle tickets and backed the team throughout this journey. Without your support, days like this simply wouldn't be possible.

Now it's time for the boys to soak it all in and enjoy every moment of this incredible experience.

A massive congratulations to Tom Moriarty from Leominster Mons on already achieving both his Bronze and Silver awards through the Volunteer Development Programme an incredible achievement and fully deserved! 👏

We’re incredibly proud to have Tom as part of the team here at the Mons. From helping out at training sessions to supporting on match days, he’s become a huge part of the group already. The boys absolutely love having him around and honestly, we don’t know how they’d cope without him now! 💛🖤

Tom’s enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to learn have been brilliant to see all season, and his story shows exactly what grassroots football is all about creating opportunities, building confidence and making football accessible for everyone involved both on and off the pitch.

You’re one of us now Tom… you are a Mon! ⚽👏 🟡⚫🟡⚫

A congratulations to Tom Moriarty of Leominster Town Football Club as he's already received his bronze and silver awards for the Volunteer Development Programme. Meaning he's already volunteered over 20 hours to the club!

Here's what Tom had to say below:

"I’m really enjoying the opportunity I’ve been given to be involved with a youth football team, they are a great bunch of lads. Jake, the manager suggested this scheme to me and I’m so glad he did. I’ve always loved football, but being visually impaired has meant that playing in a team hasn’t been possible, so this has allowed me to be part of a team and learn new skills from the under 9 coaches, Jake, Johnny and Steve. Can’t wait to see what next season has in store for me."

“Throughout the season Buster has shown brilliant consistency and really stepped up with leadership and battling displays on our run to the cup final.

His ability to read the game and push the team forward from the back has really shone through over the last month. He also added a goal with a great free kick, and his technique to deliver quality set pieces always provides an attacking threat.”

A top performance and leadership on and off the pitch.

That’s right… the entire squad stays together.
After a strong season of progress, hard work, and togetherness, the lads have all bought into what we’re building at Mons and we’re proud to continue that journey with the same group who have laid such strong foundations.

This isn’t just retention… it’s continuity, belief, and ambition all in one.

A massive moment for the team and something they’ve all worked incredibly hard for a real dream come true.

📝 CUP FINAL MATCH REVIEW 📝

The mons did their best but unfortunately couldn't come home with the main prize!

First and foremost, we are incredibly proud of the boys for reaching the final. It’s a real reflection of how well they’ve done not just this season, but how far they’ve come as a team. 💛🖤

Of course, the lads are gutted with the result, but we knew we were going to be up against a very strong FC Phoenix side. They gave everything out there, battled from start to finish, and that’s exactly what we asked of them before kick-off. 💪

This will be a great experience for them, and there’s plenty to take away as they continue to develop and improve.

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to support it meant a lot to the team. 🙌
