With the recent addition of Monday lessons to our Swim Academy timetable, our Parent & Child swim classes are now available 7 days a week! Suitable for babies from 12 weeks old, these sessions provide the perfect introduction to the water.

In a fun, relaxed, and nurturing environment, your little one can begin building confidence in the pool while developing the foundations for future independence 🐬

Liscombe Health Club is based just outside of Leighton Buzzard, on the border of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. With a newly refurbished pool and gym, as well as onsite Cafe and Soft Play, there is plenty more to enjoy!

This week is RLSS Drowning Prevention Week 🛟

At Liscombe Swim Academy, water safety is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout this week’s lessons, our swimmers will be spending some extra time focusing on important water safety skills, helping them to build confidence, awareness and the knowledge they need to stay safe in and around water. 🌊🏊

Learning to swim is a life skill, but learning how to stay safe around water is just as important.

Due to high demand, we’re excited to be launching brand new Parent & Baby classes on Mondays at Liscombe Swim Academy 🩵

🗓 Starting Monday 22nd June
⏰ 10:30am – 12:30pm

Our Monday line-up:

10:30AM 3 - 12 months
11:00AM 1 - 2 years
11:30AM – 2 - 3 years
12:00AM – 3 - 4 years

These sessions are perfect for:

✔️ Building water confidence from an early age
✔️ Developing key life-saving skills
✔️ Spending quality time together in the water

Our Swim Academy will take a two-week break over the Christmas period.

Final lessons of the year are on Sunday 21st December.

We look forward to seeing you all again in 2026, when lessons resume on Monday 5th January.

Our Stage Three Swim Academy program focuses on perfecting front crawl technique and significantly enhancing water safety skills.

In this stage, children will master swimming 10 meters of front crawl with controlled breathing. They’ll also develop the ability to swim 10 meters of backstroke with consistent arm rotation and coordination, and begin to learn the fundamentals of breaststroke.

As with all our Swim Academy Stages, water safety and awareness are paramount. For Stage Three, we specifically cover advanced treading water techniques, essential self-rescue for cold water safety, and thoroughly teach the Water Safety Code: Stop and Think, Stay Together, Call 999, Float.

It’s never too late to learn to swim, no matter your child’s age. If you’re interested in enrolling your child in our Swim Academy, we are enrolling now!

Freiya is just one of our talented swimmers who were selected for one of our first trial sessions through our new partnership with Linslade Crusaders.

Those who attended received fantastic feedback. They have shown excellent key skills and impressive stroke development which has landed them an invite to join the Crusaders Academy Plus!👏

This marks an amazing start to our partnership, and we can’t wait to see more of our swimmers take part in future trials.

👏 Well done to Freiya and all our swimmers for making us proud! 💪
