As part of my level three nutrition qualification, I worked with a lovely lady who I work out a nutrition plan to follow for eights weeks.
She had tried weight watchers twice previously when she initially lost weight but put it back off once she stopped attending. She also tried calorie counting but always felt hungry.
As part of her nutrition plan, I worked out her daily calorie intake including the amount of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats she should be eating on a daily basis. I also encourage her to aim to drink two litres of water a day and try to get 10,000 steps in per day.
During the eight weeks, she did have the occasional treat but made sure she kept within her calories. Where before she would have the treat and then feel bad since had it and then gave up on her calories for the rest of the week and would start all over again on Monday.
The result certainly paid off for her as she had lost 10.9kg off her weight, 8cms off on her hips and 5cms off her waist.
Quote from the lady herself:
βBefore starting my 8-week health plan, I felt heavy, tired, and low on energy. I didnβt feel comfortable in myself and struggled with feeling sluggish and unmotivated.
Working with Jo to set my calories and build a structured plan completely changed that. I started to feel motivated, full, healthier, and much more energised. By the end of the 8 weeks, I felt confident continuing my journey on my own and had built some really strong, sustainable habits.β
