Only just able to post this job as managed to get gloss in my eye which meant i couldnt realy see properly for a while!

Anyway, new client whos just left a lovely ely review, this room just needed a lot of tlc before the painting. There were massive cracks all around the ceiling and window which neede alot of work, and as the room was prone to cracking i decided to caulk both top and bottom, all 4 corners and all around the window including around and under the windowsill...this will ensure the cracking wont come back...my job is not just to get it looking good now but for the next few years!

Just got round to uploading last weeks job as havnt been very well past couple of days, a mix of a cold, a splinter in my eye and lots of glosswork knocked me out! So this job was for a lovely lady, i wanted to get this room back to looking its best, so the large gaps in the windowsill needed filling and sealing, and all the old paint being removed from the dado rail and the windowsill, along with fixing all the chasing in marks on the main walls

Job for last week which rolled into today due to illness and the client suffering a personal tragedy, which i wont go into here as its not my info to give; but suffice to say the lady is lovely and my heart goes out to her and i hope to stay in contact with her in the future.

So this job took a lot of work, ceiling were freahly plastered, but badly, holes and gaps everywhere, walls had never been sanded...wodwork had never been sanded and had layer upon layer of old gloss with brush hairs and strokes and bits of fluff in it all over the place. So...one and a half tins of primer, 6 tubs of filler, 3 tubes of caulk later and then all painted we get it looking like this

Lastly the bedroom. If you zoom into the main wall you might be able to see just how bad the cracking was on the full corners, again a lot of prep went into this. I always say every job is circa 80% prep before any 'real' paint goes on

First of 3 jobs for a brand new client, with more work being booked in for next spring. Ive not been able to post abything for a couple of weeks due to a few bouts of realy bad sickness (that may be because i was working 12 hour days and not realy sleeping so may have just worked myself to the point of exhaustion). But also, my business number and page have been offline whilst facebook sorted out the company in brighton using my work as their own! Fortunatly its all been sorted out and theyve now been banned from using facebook in any business capacity.

So firslty the lounge, i always feel the photos dont realy show you just how much was wrong that needed to be put right. The media wall looks ok in the before photos, but 2 coats of bin ahowed just how bad it was, with gaps and holes everywhere. Also 2 nails had been bent over in the skirting boards, and the owner hadnt been told...

Update on the last post, i also did this bathroom window, but silly me forgot to take a photo of it after id done the work, so the lovely lady sent it over to me
This took a lot of work to get all the loose crap off it, wood fill and sand it, and then prime it before a final light fill and sand and prime before painting, i always like to do 2 fills so that you get it looking as close to how it should as possible

New job for new clients and more work being booked in with them later, this room needed a lot of prep to grt it up to the standard i wanted, along with taking the lining paper off the ceiling we found 2 massive cracks and the light socket had a massive hole in the side which all needed filling before anything else could be done. Next all the lining paper was filled and sanded to stop it looking like lining paper, then it was all caulked before finally being painted in 2 different colours. We had rain one day which we found a leak coming through the chimney wall so although it was all painted i redid that wall applying zinsser bin before repainting it all again
