Tingley Blacks Power Into the Final With a Commanding 3–0 Win Over Normanton Prostars
Tingley Blacks secured their place in the final with a performance built on control, confidence, and real quality, sweeping aside Normanton Prostars 3–0 in a dominant semi‑final showing.
Right from kick‑off, Tingley imposed themselves. Their intensity without the ball and calmness in possession pushed Prostars deep, and the early pressure paid off. A sharp move down the right created space, and Ben Hutchinson rose brilliantly to head home the opener, settling any nerves and giving Tingley full control of the tie. Moments later, Ben struck again — a superb low finish into the bottom corner — doubling the lead and putting the Blacks firmly in command.
The second half underlined everything that has defined this squad’s development this season: discipline, bravery on the ball, and a collective hunger to dominate big moments. The midfield dictated the rhythm, the back line stayed organised and untroubled, and the wide players stretched the game intelligently.
Tingley wrapped things up with a beautifully constructed team goal. Crisp passing opened the pitch, Jacob Lill drove dangerously down the left, and his movement created the opening for Ezekiel Afoakwah to fire home clinically, leaving the Prostars keeper with no chance. At 3–0, the Blacks refused to ease off, continuing to press high and win second balls all over the pitch.
The performance was a perfect reflection of the team’s mentality: aggressive, switched on, and ruthless. A turnover in midfield sparked another quick transition, and the finishing throughout the game was emphatic — a fully deserved victory that sparked celebrations on the touchline.
Defensively, Tingley were outstanding. Every player contributed, from the first line of pressure to the last defender. The clean sheet was earned through concentration, communication, and teamwork.
When the final whistle blew, there was no doubt: Tingley Blacks had been superior in every department. Their place in the final is a testament to their hard work, togetherness, and belief — and on this evidence, they head into it with real momentum and confidence.
A special mention all our sponsors including C&M Builders, whose support continues to mean so much to the team. Having them pitch‑side today, cheering the boys on from the first whistle to the last, gave the players an extra lift on a huge occasion. Their backing is genuinely appreciated by everyone at Tingley Blacks.
