What an incredible grading weekend for our young martial artists at Phoenix Martial Arts Leeds!

We are so proud of every student who stepped onto the mats, gave their best effort, and successfully achieved their next belt. Earning a new belt isn’t just about learning techniques—it’s about showing courage, determination, focus, and a positive attitude.

Each student demonstrated the values that make a great martial artist:

⭐ Respect
⭐ Discipline
⭐ Perseverance
⭐ Resilience

From their very first lesson to their latest grading, these students have worked hard, overcome challenges, and continued to improve week after week. Seeing their smiles as they received their certificates and new belts was a reminder of why we do what we do.

To all of our graduates: congratulations on your achievement! Your instructors, parents, and fellow students are incredibly proud of you.

Remember, every black belt started as a white belt who refused to give up.

Keep working hard, keep believing in yourselves, and keep striving for excellence. This is another fantastic step on your martial arts journey, and we can’t wait to see what you achieve next!

🥋 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR ADULT KARATE GRADUATES! 🥋

Success isn’t measured by the colour of a belt—it’s measured by the dedication, commitment, and perseverance shown on the journey to earn it.

A huge congratulations to our Adult Karate students who successfully passed their gradings this weekend! 👏🏆

These students have shown incredible determination, balancing training alongside work, family commitments, and everyday life, yet still finding the discipline to step onto the mats and continually improve.

Every grading represents:

⭐ Improved confidence
⭐ Increased fitness
⭐ Stronger mindset
⭐ Personal growth

Martial arts is about becoming a better version of yourself each time you train, and these students have done exactly that.

Star jumps ➡️ fighting stance ➡️ star jumps ➡️ fighting stance 😮‍💨💪

Sounds easy, until your brain suddenly forgets what your legs are supposed to be doing. 😭

Some of our students looked completely confident for the first 3 seconds, then chaos entered the chat. 😂🥊

Honestly though, drills like this are brilliant for reactions, balance, and coordination. 🔥

This is what we LOVE to see. The dojo FULL of energy and effort!

Everyone is in their own zone, getting work done.

Some are smashing kettlebells 💥
Some are going hard with medicine balls 😅
Some are skipping like it is their personal cardio mission 🪢
And others are working the punching bags like they owe them money 😂🥊

It is one of those moments where you just stop and think WOW, look at this place go 🔥

We’ve all had sessions where we just try to keep up but this is next level effort from everyone 🙌

Honestly so proud of the energy in the room right now 👏
