Lancaster University Hiking Club

Lancaster University Hiking Club LUHC is one of the largest outdoor student societies in the UK. We run hikes to the Lakes, Scotland Three WEEKEND TRIPS each term, usually around £40.

LUHC is one of the largest student outdoor societies in the UK with membership open to all members of Lancaster University; undergraduates, postgraduates and staff. Such a varied membership always gives the Club an interesting social mixture and a wide-ranging appeal. Everyone has a different idea of what they want from the mountains and the Club itself. There are walkers and scramblers, beginners

and the experienced - with all abilities and extremes catered for, from hardcore 'baggers' to the modest Lakeland hill-walker. Six SUNDAY TRIPS each term, just £10 (occasionally a Saturday to accommodate those with busy Sundays). Minibus to the Lake District/Yorkshire... Walks catering for different abilities... Pub... Fish 'n' Chips... Home. Typically to Scotland or Wales, either camping or bunkhouse. SOCIALS every Monday night, 8:30PM. SPECIAL SOCIALS including Bar Crawls, Dinners, Ceilidh, Ultimate Night...

LUHC MEMBERSHIP IS NOW LIVE! 🎉‼️

Early bird membership has now opened (and it will be open until shortly after freshers, 4 Oct) on our new Rubric portal!
For returning members: you will need membership to come on any events this year! The student union had a new payment system so things may look a little different!
For new students: you will need to wait until you have your university login to get membership!
