Job Title: General Maintenance & Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a General Maintenance & Caretaker. This hands-on role involves the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and general maintenance of our facilities, with occasional delivery driving duties.

Responsibilities:
• Carry out general maintenance tasks
• Ensure the premises are clean, safe, and secure (including sanitary facilities).
• Perform routine checks and report any issues
• Support with setup or moving of equipment/furniture
• Occasional delivery driving as required

Requirements:
• Full UK driver’s licence (essential)
• Basic DIY and repair skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Must be open to flexible working hours
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage

This is an initial 6 month temporary position with full time working hours (37.5 hours p/w)and rate of pay to be discussed on interview.

Everything’s big at the moment , big lathes for big items . It’s all going on at IRS at the minute .

We sometimes do some big stuff under emergancy repair (24hr) bearing repair and stuffing box area , take some photos when repaired.

Well what can I say , it’s the end of an era with Pete Retiring. Been working with Pete for over 30 years and I can honestly say it’s been a pleasure.
