The battle of the bridge ⚽️

The boys in yellow and black have their final league game of the season, tomorrow night, where they welcome local rivals Kyleakin FC in what promises to be an entertaining fixture with some pretty tasty outcomes:
- A win for Kyleakin puts them into the Top 4 of the table, where they will compete in the Ewen MacRae Cup ⚽️
- A win for lochalsh will lift us off of the bottom of the Table and put Kyleakin out of the Ewen MacRae cup and into the Clan Donald Cup along-side Lochalsh 🟡⚫️

Come along to Douglas park and experience first hand the drama that is: “The Battle of the Bridge”. ⚽️

How did you enjoy your burgers today?
Because we enjoyed making them for you. Thank you to everyone who came along to Kyle gala today and enjoyed one of our delicious burgers 🍔 We managed to raise £1292.90 for lochalsh football club, a huge amount that will go a long way for our team.
Thank you to the organisers of Kyle Gala for the spot at the event, and to George MacRae of Lochalsh Butchers for supplying the burgers and grill to cook them.
Being a part of the community was one of the pillars that started this football team, so the response today was lovely to see 🟡⚫️

Sleat and Strath 5-3 Lochalsh FC

Next up for the boys in yellow and black is our second last league fixture of the year, against Sleat and Strath FC. Sleat will be looking to remain in the title race so it will likely be and exciting game. Come along to Plockton high school Astro turf and cheer the boys on this Tuesday ⚫️🟡

Lochalsh 2-3 Fort William ⚽️

A closely contested game on Douglas park saw visitors Fort William travel back to lochaber with the full 3 points after being reduced to 10 men.

The Lochalsh men came back level from going behind twice but couldn’t finish the job against a fort William side full of youth and fight.

Next game for the lads in yellow and black is against Sleat and Strath on Tuesday the 18th on the Plockton Astro turf. Stay tuned for updates 🟡⚫️

After an unfortunate 10-0 loss against NWS on Friday night, lochalsh look to turn the tide against Fort William on Tuesday night at Douglas Park. Come on down at 7:30pm ⚫️🟡⚽️

Tonight Lochalsh head to Uig to play NWS in the WHAFA league. 7:30pm kick off ⚫️🟡

Lochalsh 3-4 Mallaig

A close run affair at Douglas park as Mallaig edge out a win against the lads in yellow and black. The first half was cagey and evenly matched, with Mallaig scoring two nicely worked goals to make it 2-0, however a duncy Matheson strike from outside the box showed that lochalsh would be in the game until the very end. 2-1 at half time.

Mallaig came out with a bright spark to start the second half, Andrew sneddon managed to find the bottom right corner with a free kick from distance and after a Mallaig player went down in the box they were awarded a penalty that was converted well. Lochalsh didn’t sit back however and found another two goals through Cameron Godfrey and a David MacAskill long range free kick to make it 3-4 at the full time whistle.

Once again the Lochalsh players proved that we are no push over and competed right to the final whistle against one of the top teams in highland amateur football. Man of the match today was a split between Duncan Matheson and Douglas Campbell. Come on lochalsh ⚽️🟡⚫️
