Such a great day yesterday for kirmington u11 first presentation night.
Some season these lads have had.
We now push on and go again

Appleby froddingham tournament.

Today the boys travelled to sunny scunny to play in the annual app frod tournament.
Everyone know I hate tournaments 🤣 and on past tournament viewings the boys can't really get into their stride, smaller pitches,smaller goals fast pace games but today they put all that behind them and really had a go. There was some top teams in it today and the lads proved that if they apply themselves correctly they can compete with them .
Some great football and goals scored along the way
We made it all the way to the plate cup final by winning on pens in the semi final.
Then came the final, again we had lots of the ball created loads of chances hitting the post twice we just couldn't find the net and eventually losing 4 -3 on penalties, so cruel considering the way we played.
Super happy with the lads today
Presentation night to look forward to next Saturday for the lads to cap off the u11 season

Parents player of the day joey!
Had a little talk with this lad on Wednesday as he hates playing in the back line
We've used joey as a central defender in the last few weeks and everyone will tell you that boy has got it all to play there, strong quick hard in the tackle composure and great feet
He did a job again for us today and again was outstanding and will find himself unlucky not to get the coaches award too
You're performances have gone through the roof big man!

Coaches player of the day was ralphy, or should I say ralph🤣
Like I said joey did everything right today and without this lad playing the way he did joey would have got both awards
But ralph!!... Well done mate literally played center back left wing right wing center midfield and upfront. If we had more games he would have probably played in goal aswell!
We all know what we get Technically from ralph and sometimes because we know how good he is we forget that he actually runs his socks off for this team, and today proved. Littereally didn't put a foot wrong and grafted right untill the end
Scored 3 pens too! 🤣🤣

I guess this is the best time to tell everyone about the exiting news we have
Although I think the cats already out the bag 😂
This season kirmington fc is expanding and wel be proudly introducing a kirmington fc girls team. I'm super proud and very excited for the future of this club
More news and developments on this to follow soon ! ❤️💙
Because of this you will see there has been some work completed at the ground 🚧👷‍♂️. We have taken out one of the goals and levelled, soiled and seeded the area enabling us to move the pitch over to create space for the girls pitch to go on.
Massive thanks to both Simon Thorpe and Ryan Melbourne on there efforts today to get this sorted
