The summer holidays are coming to an end and the kids are heading back to school. Now is a good time to take stock and set some goals.And what better way to do that than looking at a picture of my arse...😂.

When setting goals it's important to consider your 'why'. If, for example, your goal is to lose weight. Ask yourself why this is important to you. What benefit would this have to your life? To the people close to you? When we know why we are doing something it's so much easier to stay focused on the goal and do the hard stuff.

For me, I want to make my kids proud. I want to build resilience and push myself out my comfort zone. I want good mental and physical health. I want to live a long life. I want to be more confident. I want to feel a sense of achievement. I want to believe in my capabilities and be proud of myself. I want to have fun doing something I enjoy.

Looking good in a bikini feels great but if it was my only driving force I don't think I'd be as dedicated and focussed on achieving my goals as I am.

Thought I should do a wee post to give potential new clients a proper look at my gym and where I am located.

So my gym was pretty much created during lockdown so that myself and my husband could continue our training. We have slowly added to it over the past few years and it's now a decent little home gym with everything you could really need. Perfect for coaching 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 clients in a private setting.

Equipment includes:
C2 bike
Ski Erg
15kg/20kg Barbell and plates
Rogue power rack
Bench
Adjustable dumbbells
Kettlebells
Pull up bar
Rings
Dipping station
Box
Wall ball
Reactance bands
Ab wheel

My gym is located in my rustic wooden garage which is set in our beautiful 1.6acre garden. It's a beautiful and peaceful location which is very different from your normal gym setting. Also because I don't work from a commercial gym, I don't have to pay rent which means I don't have to charge insane prices.

Well kitted out gym, beautiful location and a knowledgeable and dedicated PT at affordable rates. What more could you want? 🤷🏻‍♀️😍

Too often I hear my clients getting frustrated that a number on the scale isn't moving quickly enough. This can quickly lead to frustration and increases your chances of giving up.

Progress can be measured in many different ways. Do you feel better in yourself? Are you training consistently and enjoying it? Do your clothes feel better on? Are you moving better and have more energy? Celebrate those, remain focussed on your goals and the results will happen.

Be patient and celebrate the small wins.
