IWD 2026❣️
On the surface it’s going for a run and having a coffee. But on a deeper level? It’s coming together to celebrate each other, to share stories and experiences, to empower one another. It’s women lifting each other up, cheering each other on and creating community and friendships.

Sadly it’s an ongoing issue for us feeling unsafe to run alone or to run in the dark, which just emphasises the importance of IWD and us keeping on pushing for safer spaces for all of us!

Let’s keep fighting for our rights and celebrating all women, today and everyday. Happy international women’s day! You are all absolutely amazing and inspiring!!! Love from gals on the go❣️

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY GALS ON THE GO! 🥳

I was so nervous that first morning a year ago, organising the first 5k and wondering if anyone was going to show up. Well, you did show up! And I’m so grateful that you all did! It’s been a brilliant experience getting to know all of you. Thank you so much to every girl that has ran with us over the past year, whether you’re a regular at Friday morning, a weekend only run gal or a newbie to the group - YOU are what makes this community the supportive, friendly and welcoming place it has grown into!!! It goes to show that there really is a true yearning for community and connection within our towns and I hope we are making even a small positive impact towards this with our group 🫶

From Kirkcaldy to Morocco, we’ve achieved so much together already and I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for us🥹

Who’s that girl? It’s GALS ON THE GO!💖

We are a social run club for women, based in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Our focus is community and connection, bringing together gals who love running and movement but who also want to chat, make new friends and share stories and advice with each other over a coffee and a sweet treat🫶

We started this group on Valentine’s Day in 2025 with many members being very new to their running journeys at the time. With the support of the group, so many members have gone on to run 10k’s, half marathons, full marathons and more! Support, empowerment and cheering each other on always - no competition or jealous vibes over here ✋🏼

New faces are always welcome💖 if you’re interested but feeling a bit apprehensive, please give us a message for a chat. Our run events are always social and we understand everyone runs at their own pace. If you’re new we will stick with you on the run (and beyond!). And you are more than welcome to just come for the post run coffee and chats (the best bit)🥰

3K SOCIAL RUNS 🏃‍♀️

Join us on Tuesday 10th February at 6pm for an easy, flat and chatty 3K run in Kirkcaldy. This one’s for all the gals not quite confident enough for a full 5k, but still looking for the social vibes of run club! The route is out and back, with no one left behind and no pressure to run at a certain pace. Walking and stopping when needed is encouraged. Come and meet some like minded gals!

MARRAKECH MARATHON WEEKEND 🇲🇦

I’ll be needing some time to fully process all of the emotions form this weekend 🥹

12 of us headed over to Morocco to take part in the full or half marathon and every single one of the girls absolutely smashed it! So many personal bests but more importantly, there was so much love, support and smiles shared between us. Can’t thank the gals enough for being such good sports the whole weekend, keeping the vibes high and being so supportive of each other. They are all absolute gems and I am so grateful to have connected with them all. It’s crazy that less than a year ago we never knew each other and now here we are in Africa running an international event together!!! 🙌

NEW YEARS DAY 2026 🏃‍♀️🎉

Happy new years from gals on the go!! A social 5k run and coffee stop at Pier 88 to start the year☕️

The first of many group runs in 2026! If you’re looking to find some running friends this year, please give us a message and you’ll be welcomed along 🫶

We have regular social 5k’s, longer weekend runs and special events too. At the end of January there are a group of us heading to Morocco to take part in the Marrakesh marathon! Then in February we will be celebrating the run clubs 1st birthday🥹🎈
