Scooter with rotation. Great one for runners!

Brilliant exercises to strength your thighs, glutes, hamstrings, lateral hip stabilizers, and adductors, whilst lengthening your hip flexors.

No hands and added rotation puts your balance to the test! You can hear me almost lose mine! 😂 ooof!

Is pilates just stretching?
Is pilates right for me?

Pilates balances strength, flexibility and mobility so that your body can move well everyday.

Moving well means different things to different people. Some of my clients come to my sessions to support their sport and fitness training programs, others do it to feel stronger when lifting their kids or simply to be comfortable and prevent back pain from sitting at their laptop or driving.

The exercises are designed to strengthen and lengthen muscles whilst focusing on alignment and posture. You’ll start take what you learn from your sessions into everyday life, over time getting stronger and improving your movement habits and patterns.

I’m so excited to be teaching a pilates class on Fri 22 April as part of their new stretch and recover sessions! It won’t be all stretching I’m afraid, we’ll get the core fired up so you can hold that plank all the way to the beep ⏱!

Modified plank-great variation if you’re still working on building up arm and core strength (that includes abdominals and back!) to do a full plank.
Take an arm away to really test your stability. I actually find this version harder than a full plank with one arm.
Give it a try and let me know which you find easier!

Tips:
bum down
knees wide to distribute the weight
head in-line with the spine
Shoulders over your hands
