Before & after 🥺💇🏽
He didn’t like the new hair in the end, he said he didn’t feel confident with it so he went back to his normal skin fade.
But he said he’s proud of himself for actually trying something different and I’m proud of him for telling me he didn’t like it instead of just saying he did to make his hairdresser happy.

Noah is SUCH a people pleaser and the sadness in his eyes broke me because I could tell he was too scared to say he didn’t like it 😭 even when he did speak up he said “is it okay if you skin fade it?” 🥺 always worrying about making everyone else happy.

I’m forever telling him, if YOU like it then have it, it’s your hair!! And if you don’t like it, say something. You don’t have to pretend you’re happy with something just because you’re worried about upsetting somebody else.
I’m just proud that he tried something new even though it was completely out of his comfort zone, and even prouder that he eventually spoke up and told us how he really felt. That’s a massive thing for Noah because normally he’d rather stay quiet and be unhappy than risk upsetting someone else 🥺

Back to his skin fade and most importantly, back to feeling confident in himself ❤️

I hate how society makes our kids feel about themselves 😔
Noah’s been growing his hair for 8 weeks ready for this trim and he was genuinely SO excited to finally get it done. Now he’s saying he doesn’t like it because he doesn’t feel “confident” seeing the sadness in his eyes has broken my heart.
I tell both my kids every single day how gorgeous they are, because to me they are. I just wish they could see themselves through my eyes. They’re still so young and already worrying about how they look and whether they’re good enough. Kids should be able to just be kids without feeling like they have to look a certain way to feel confident.

Social media, trends, other people’s opinions… there’s so much pressure on them now and it makes me so sad💔
I’ll keep reminding my babies every single day just how beautiful they are, inside and out, until hopefully one day they believe it as much as I do

Noahs bought a long white shelf for his room but he wanted black and couldn’t find one anywhere, so he’s spray painted it black himself, I think he’s done a good job! 👏🏼 Who wants to see the results when it’s all up and his room’s coming together? 👀🖤
