Not the best game from the jones lads today , apart from the pitch been awful the lads couldn’t seem to get going for a while and our passing was a mile off as a team, but we dug deep in a scrappy game and got the job done. We missed an hand full of chances in the first half an hour, but the breakthrough came from a superb cross from Attila that so matty carr running towards the back post and hits the ball on the half volley in the top corner, then moments later a great run from sage who was brought down in the box to be awarded a penalty that Attila neatly sent the keeper the wrong way, we carried on missing a few more chances and could tell it could be a frustrating game, hall rd caught our defence napping and broke through but a suburb save from stand in keeper steve Jacko pulled off a worldie save , half time 2-0.
2nd half we looked more comfortable and attacked a lot faster , and quality goal from Attila early on to put us 3-0 up, then a hand ball in the box from an Ashley hughes shot gave us another penalty that Jack Wilcock smashed home. They was still time for one more from Attila to complete his hat trick, man of the match was Harry who made the game look simple in the middle and sprayed the ball all over the pitch 👏, well done lads another 3 points in a scrappy game. I’d like to make a special mention to matty carr who flew home from America yesterday and still played 90 minutes today and scoring once again and added to his assist tally , superb commitment that Is 👊⚽️
On a slightly negative note I’m a bit disappointed players not turning up again, that needs to change if we want to go all the way to the final 👍
