This week has seen massive strides towards completion - track fully tarmacked and loads of turf laid. It’s likely that construction will be complete by the end of next week once a fence is installed, signage put up and turf finished off.

Before we can open it to the public a safety inspection needs to be completed - this could happen end of next week but no guarantees. You’ll know when it’s open when the heras fencing is removed!

Big news…. Construction of Kingsbridge pump track will begin on the 11th of May! will be onsite crafting our pump track with the build expected to take 5-6 weeks. There will be restricted access to rear area of the recreation ground while they work their magic, sorry for any inconvenience caused while they bring it to life. Summer time pump track sessions are on!

We may have been a little quiet on social media lately, but plenty has been happening behind the scenes!

Back in September, the project received full support from South Hams District Council’s Executive Committee — a huge milestone for us. Since then, we’ve been busy developing a detailed design brief, shaped by the feedback from our recent online pump track consultation.

This brief has now been sent out to pump track contractors, who will be returning proposals by the end of February.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the project and helped us reach this stage. It’s looking increasingly positive that 2026 could see Kingsbridge gain another much-needed, free-to-use community facility.

Want to influence the design of the Kingsbridge Pump Track?

Riders – this is your chance to help shape the track! Tell us the key features you’d love to see included in the design. Whether it’s certain types of turns, rollers, or other elements that make riding more fun and challenging, your ideas will play an important role in creating a track that suits the whole community.

Wider community – we’d love to hear your thoughts on the space around the track. You can suggest features you’d like to see added, such as seating, planting, or pathways, and you’re also welcome to share any safety concerns. By raising these early on, we can make sure they’re properly addressed and the area feels welcoming and safe for everyone.
