Mother’s Day means different things for different people. Alongside celebrating all the amazing mums I get to work and train with 🫶 I’m also thinking of those who will find today very difficult 🤍

To all the ladies out there juggling work, family life and everything else that comes your way, you are amazing.

Doing everything you do and still making time to show up to train isn’t easy.

First with and we absolutely loved it 🔥 what a brilliant experience.

Today was about proving to myself that I can do hard things — and keep going when it gets tough 💪

There’s something powerful about showing up for yourself and your partner, especially when it gets uncomfortable.

Massive thanks for all the encouragement, support and training on the gym-floor. Thank you for coming along to support us today 🙌

One thing people don’t talk about enough when it comes to lifting weights:

It’s good for your mental health.

Not because it “burns stress away” — but because it builds:
• Structure
• Self-trust
• Resilience
• And a sense of progress

On days when motivation is low, training can be the one thing that anchors you.

On hard weeks, it reminds you that you can still show up… even when you’re feeling low.

Training often helps you feel better.

And that’s one of the most underrated benefits of getting strong.

When you start strength training, you begin to understand you are capable of so much more than you imagined.

Lifting weights empowers you, making you feel capable, building strength alongside resilience.

And as you get stronger, and your confidence grows, you start to feel more at home and comfortable in your body.

So much changes in your life beyond the gym:

• Your mood stabilises
• You look forward to exercising (something you never thought you’d do)
• Your confidence grows
• And most importantly, You start to believe in You

You don’t train because you’re unhappy in your body.
You train because you want to feel strong in it.

And so the journey begins 💫

Yesterday I posted a heavy deadlift.
Today I want to share this.

I didn’t exercise. I didn’t think about nutrition. I drank too much 🍷

I don’t really remember being that person anymore.
But I do remember how it felt.

Zero confidence.
Uncomfortable in my body.
Unhappy with where I was at.

I didn’t start confident or motivated.
I just started where I was.

I didn’t change everything at once.

I introduced and established new habits.

And I stayed consistent long enough for things to change.

If you’re at the beginning (or starting again), I understand that place.

Whatever your starting point is—it’s valid.

You don’t need confidence to begin.
You build confidence by beginning.

Caring for your mind isn’t just a one-day thing. It’s an everyday commitment 🌿

Lifting isn’t just about looks — it’s about building strength, confidence, and resilience, inside and out. 🏋️‍♀️✨

Every time you show up for yourself in the gym you’re doing something powerful for your mind 🧠 as well as your body.

Taking time out to exercise isn’t selfish. It’s essential.

Exercise helps clear your mind, boost your mood, and it reminds you just how capable you really are 💪

So even though the day has passed, the message still remains:

Keep moving, keep lifting, and keep looking after your mental health 💚
