Today we ended our season with a brilliant trip to the Caledonia festival.
12 teams 6 per group. We had a tough start playing against the league winner knockentiber and unfortunately lost that 2 nil. Another close game and could been ahead first but unfortunately lost that one. We then played Tass and as normal a very close game with it finishing 1-1. We told the boys to make the top 2 we would have to win the next 3 games in our group. The next game was against Caledonia and beat them 4 nil. Next it was Stewarton and gain 4 nil. At this stage we had to get a point from ksq galaxy from Dundee to get into the final. We won 4-1 .
The final we played East Kilbride burgh. We lost an early goal after a good start but credit to the boys who fought back and got the goals to win 2-1 and give us our first trophy as a group.
Great day and brilliant to see the boys with a trophy.

What a amazing night we had for our awards night at Kilwinning sports club. Every player was there and was a brilliant turn out.
Winners were
Top goal scorer - Shay Gilroy
Coaches award - Murray Burke
Refs award - Jack Boyce and Shay Gilroy
Parents award - Adam Stewart
Players award - Mason Po***ck

Tass 1-0 buffs
Not the result we wanted but we couldn’t fault the players on there efforts. They gave everything and had very unlucky not to get something from the game. Both teams defended well and clear chances were at a minimum.
Maybe bit unlucky not to get a penalty end of first half, but that’s football.
This was our last game this season, and shame we couldn’t get to the semi final.
Boys have been fantastic all season with it being our first year together as a group and hopefully we can push on next season and do even better.
End of season award night is 29th may in the Claire hub if anyone fancies a good night and wants to come message the page.

Monday night football as the young buffs are away to Tass in the 1/4 final of the divisional cup.
Game is at Ardeer rec at the outdoor bowling club. 7 pm kick off. Get over and support the boys ⚪️🔵⚽️⚽️💙💙

Buffs 0-2 knockentiber
What a advert for youth football, a great cup tie with two teams trying to play the proper way. Great crowd down watching in the lovely sunshine.
Tiber nearly scored after 20 secs when boy got in behind and knocked shot past the post.
Buffs then settled into the game but had to make an early change when Cooper had to come off with an injury.
Shay couldn’t get ball set under his feet but did well to pass it to Mason who again couldn’t really get shot away with much pace and keeper saved it. Game was pretty frantic a good typical cup tie. Tiber took the lead from a corner whipped in and boy headed home.
Zak, who had been playing really well then had to come off with a sore one.
Rest of half game went end to end with no real chances half time 0-1.
At half time we told the boys to keep believing and we will get our chance.
Second half boys worked so hard and again kept Tiber out and tried hard to creat that chance to get level. Tiber got the second goal of the night tho when they got a great cross in and there lad arrived late to head home. Boys could have got their heads down and let the game get away from them but they didn’t and kept going to the end. Unfortunately that was the end of the scoring and finished two nil Tiber.
After reflection on the game as manager of this amazing bunch of boys a couldn’t be any prouder. We went toe to toe with the best team in Ayrshire and was a very tight game. Our first season as a group and we continue to grow like that, already looking forward to next season.
Tiber a top side and we wish them all the best for the semi final.
Unfortunately wee Zak ended up
In hospital and no great , two fractured bones in his hip.. we wish him a speedy recovery top boy and top player.

Friday night football, young buffs entertain the league champions Knockentiber in the 1/4 final of the league cup. Will be a very tough game against the top side in our league. After last weekends great result boys will go into game with confidence and hopefully can cause a cup upset. Kick off 630.

Ayr Boswell 1-5 buffs
Brilliant performance from the boys last Sunday morning. Some great goals against a very good Boswell side. Goals from Mason 2 Jimmy 1 Daniel 1 and Elroy. 🔵😎⚽️⚽️⚪️

League game away to ayr Boswell this Sunday morning with a early kick off of 1020 at Prestwick Academy. Boys worked hard in training and looking for a better result than the last two results where performances were good enough unfortunately results weren’t what we looking for.
