Kewford Eagles United U9 -v- Kidderminster Lions Youth U9

It was the first away game for the Lions in some weeks and what a game it was! There were highs and lows with some unfortunate own goals but both teams played well and didn’t let their focus drop. Kewford were strong competitors and the Lions battled hard, keeping their heads high.
Both teams should be proud of their performance, well done to them all.

Kidderminster Lions Youth U9 vs Netherton Colts North U9

The Lions looked to continue their recent form against Netherton Colts on a wet and muddy Sunday morning.

Netherton started the game with some high intensity and scored two quick goals to take a strong early lead. Like all season, The Lions never dropped their heads and got back into the game, Alex found Oscar with an incredible defence splitting pass. Oscar scored on the stretch after some pressure from the defenders.

Both teams then had chances and played some good football, despite the testing conditions. Harlin won a free-kick just inside the opposition half, of which he took and scored with a powerful drive.

Kidderminster Lions Youth U9 vs Trysull Tigers East U9

As The Lions looked to continue their impressive run, they faced Trysull Tigers East, who took an early lead

The Lions are good at coming back from behind and continued to search for the equaliser, which finally came through an unlucky own goal. They found themselves behind yet again after a stunning long range strike from the Tigers.

Both teams had chances at either end but strong defending from Freddy, Surry, Charlton, Alex and Corey, along with saves from Ethan, kept the Lions in the game

The equaliser they came from Oscar, scoring a powerful effort into the far corner from the edge of the box. Oscar then turned provider shortly after, setting up Harlin to complete the turnaround.

In the late stages of the game, Ethan pulled off a remarkable save that was met with applause from both sets of fans

Kidderminster Lions Youth U9 v Kewford Eagles North U9

Another impressive performance from The Lions this Sunday.

The game started very evenly matched with both sides having chances, The Lions defence held strong all game, Cory, Surry, Freddy, Alex and Charlton all playing well

Harlin opened the scoring with a strong finish after Charlie found him in the box. Charlie then got himself onto the scoresheet with a low finish into the near post from the edge of the area.

Harlin scored his second just before half time with a cool chip over the keeper from close range.

Both teams continued to have chances in the second half. Joshua got himself into great positions all game and finally got the goal he deserved.

Well done to both teams for working hard all game!
