What a strange game that turned out to be!

The Blacks stormed into a 2-0 lead early on, with the Yellows struggling to get out of their own half. A few late team changes meant everyone needed a bit of time to settle, but the turning point came when Adam Sosner was switched across to the Yellows to add some energy and attacking threat. The impact was immediate as he set up a goal to pull it back to 2-1.

By half-time, however, the Blacks were absolutely cruising at 5-1 up. In truth, they looked almost embarrassed by how easy the first half had been. Nobody could have predicted what happened next.

The Yellows produced a remarkable second-half comeback, scoring six unanswered goals to run out 7-5 winners. One of the biggest influences was Chris Craske, who seemed to be everywhere at once, bouncing around the pitch like a more coordinated Harry Maguire!

Tom and Steve Amies both got themselves on the scoresheet, while Adam Sosner bagged an estimated four or five goals across both teams after his mid-game transfer.

Game credits go to Adam Sosner and Chris Craske for their huge contributions to one of the most bizarre turnarounds we've seen.

I've also ordered a couple of Brazil shirts which should hopefully be arriving within the next week or so. 🇧🇷⚽

Yellows 3 – 1 Blacks
The Yellows turned up with answers for everything today — and at the heart of it was Steve Rollason, channelling a prime Kenny Daglish . Non-stop movement, breaking lines for fun.

Rich Ash and Tom were right there with him, linking everything together. On another day, Tom bags a hat-trick… but luckily for everyone else, today wasn’t that day.

The Yellows first goal was a proper 90s-style goalkeeping disasterclass video clip… the sort of clip that would’ve sat nicely under the video banner Lee Hursts worst video goal keeper mistakes, not looking forward to seeing that back.

Second half, same script. Rich Ash made it 2–0 ten minutes in with a strike that had absolutely no right flying into the top corner — but in it went.

Then came Max… padding his already legendary stats with what must now be his 96th own goal of the season. Chest. Over the line. Clinical. To be fair, there was a Yellow right behind him ready to tap it in, but Max wasn’t about to let someone else steal his moment.

Blacks kept working hard, which was nice to see, but going forward they offered about as much threat as a damp sponge.
Every chance always seemed to be blocked or missed.

Full-time whistle’s gone… and Buzz is STILL arguing his WWF-style takedown on Rollason was “never a foul.” Razor Rudduck would have been proud.
To round things off, Dave Walker picked up the Puma football as winning captain — after bravely deciding he didn’t trust himself anywhere outside the goal today. Inspirational leadership.
He then selected John McNabola, returning from injury looking suspiciously fresh, like he’d been on an all-inclusive rather than the treatment table. Straight back in, no rust whatsoever, obviously. He takes home the Tevez shirt and this week’s MOTM ⚽️
