The hardest thing about moving to the UK is goodbyes..

I don’t regret moving here for a second, but the hardest part is leaving my family behind and having to say goodbye over and over again.

I wish they lived a little bit closer.

Or maybe I lived a little bit closer.

So seeing each other wouldn’t have to be a two-year plan.

Sometimes I wish I could just pick up the phone and say, “I’m coming over for Sunday lunch.”

Last Sunday, I had to say goodbye to my sister again, but we had the most amazing time together.

I’m so lucky to have the best sister, who is also my best friend.

Maybe living far away from each other means we never take our time together for granted.

We make memories, laugh, and appreciate every moment even more.

Sometimes we don’t even want to go to bed because we don’t want to waste a single minute we have together.

And this is another reason why I look after my health — because without it, I wouldn’t be able to travel, make these memories, or spend time with the people I love most.

Next time, it’s my turn …

Not my usual Friday.

Normally, I’d be working.

But not this Friday — yesterday was all about sisters time.

Recharging our batteries together.

Wild bathing
Sauna
Nature
And a good chat

I could definitely have more Fridays like this..

Ageing as a woman isn’t always easy…

Some women may worry about getting older and start noticing changes like wrinkles, weight gain, mood swings, grey hair, irregular periods, joint pain…

But ageing isn’t all bad - we can take control of many changes that come our way.

All women are different, but one thing applies to us all - As we get older we need to take care of our health and body.

The sooner you start, the easier it will be.

Exercise regularly
Lift weights
Eat a balanced diet
Get enough sleep
Stay up-to-date with health screenings to control your risk of chronic health conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease
Take care of your skin
Do things that make you happy / have hobbies

Age is just a number and it does not mean, we have to “feel old” or limited in any way.

It's about being able to enjoy the things you love for years to come - on holiday, at home, all the time.

✅If you want to focus on what really matters - strength, independence, and living well - message me and let's have a chat

Ageing is not a bad thing.

The only way to prevent getting older is by dying.

Ageing isn’t just about what we lose.
It’s also about what we gain.

We care less about trying to be liked by everyone

As we age, we gain valuable experience and knowledge

We’ve lived long enough to know life has ups and downs

We know what we want – and what we don’t want!

We typically have more freedom (especially if we’re parents)

With age comes wisdom which helps us make the right decisions

Our relationships tend to deepen and improve

We no longer need 40 friends, 2 or 3 really good ones are enough

Car insurance goes down

We value quality time more than busy time.

And we start to prioritise our health

From the age of 30, we lose 3-8% of our muscle mass each decade.

Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of heart attacks and the biggest killer of women worldwide.

Coronary heart disease kills more than twice as many women as breast cancer every year.

Sarcopenia (loss of muscle with age) leads to falls, loss of independence, and reduced quality of life.

1 in 3 women over 50 worldwide will experience osteoporosis - bones become more likely to break.

Lifetime risk of hip fracture is high - and hip fractures can completely change your quality of life.

Do you want to slow down the ageing process and stay healthy for as long as possible - so you can stay independent and live fully?

I just turned 43, here is what scares me.

It is not wrinkles or grey hair.

I turned 43 - my mum only lived 10 years longer than me so far.

That really got me thinking about ageing. Not in terms of looking older, in terms of living well for as long as possible.

TV and social media tell us how we should look (young!) Society focuses on the outside (grey hair, wrinkles, skin texture). We spend money on anti-ageing products that focus only on appearance.

But what about the inside? Do we care about that the same way we care about wrinkles and grey hair?

I wish women spent as much time focusing on their health as they do thinking about anti-ageing products.

Ageing is unavoidable but it’s a privilege - and you can slow it down.

The goal isn’t just to live longer – it’s to live well for as long as possible.
