🏁 **2026 Season Update – A Very Challenging Start for Adam!**
The long-awaited 2026 season is finally underway, and what an intense last 2 months it was!!!
This year we stepped up into the **Club 2000 Championship** at Red Lodge, competing in the **Cadets Honda 200 class**. We knew moving up a class would be a big challenge, especially starting with a new kart, a new engine, and a brand-new track during the first weekend of January.
The conditions were extremely tough — freezing temperatures and a very slippery track — but Adam did a fantastic job. Lap after lap he improved, showing great focus and determination. Out of **27 drivers on the grid**, he finished his first race of the season in **13th place**, which made us incredibly proud. It was a long and exhausting weekend, but we learned a lot about kart setup, tyre pressures, and how to adapt to the conditions.
In **February**, we returned for **Round 2**. Once again, the track conditions were challenging and we continued experimenting with different kart setups and tyre pressures. There were a few mistakes along the way, but Adam stayed focused and kept improving. Out of the same **27-kart grid**, he finished **11th**, which was a great step forward and a big confidence boost.
After February we had some very exciting news — **Adam secured a new sponsor** , which allowed us to purchase a **brand-new race engine** ready for the March rounds.
Knowing that we can drop up to 2 races at Club 2000, We couldn’t wait to try it, so instead of returning to Red Lodge for Round 3, we entered the **Tattershall Championship** for a test event on Saturday and then a 2nd round championship on Sunday.
It was another completely new track for Adam, meaning a lot to learn again. During Saturday practice he did an amazing job, getting faster every time he went out and building confidence for race day.
Unfortunately Sunday brought heavy rain and very tricky conditions. Once again it became a big learning experience — adjusting tyre pressures, changing sprocket settings, and adapting driving lines in the wet.
To make things even harder, Adam had to start **from the back of the grid in every heat** because he was registered as a novice at this track. Despite that challenge, he fought his way through the field and finished the **Final in 10th place**.
He was clearly quicker than a few of the karts ahead, but they defended their positions well and passing opportunities were limited. Still, it was a fantastic performance and a great learning weekend.
We’re incredibly proud of Adam’s progress. Every race he is learning, adapting, and getting stronger. We’re sure the overtakes will come next time!
A huge thank you to everyone supporting Adam on this journey — especially the for a couple of sets of brand new tyres and our new sponsor who helped make the new engine possible.
Bring on the next round! 💪🏁
