☝🏼| THANK YOU PHIL

Following the 2nd XI’s promotion to Division 1, Phil Burnsted has decided to step away from his role as the team’s umpire.

For the past 8/9 years, Phil has shown incredible dedication and commitment to the 2nd XI and Hayes CC, giving up countless Saturdays to stand in all conditions and support the team week after week.

It feels fitting that Phil signs off with the 2s having secured promotion to Division 1 — a fantastic way to finish his time in the middle.

On behalf of everyone at Hayes CC, we’d like to say a massive thank you to Phil for everything he has given to the team and the club over the years. 💙

A true clubman who will always be part of the 2nd XI family.

Enjoy having your Saturdays back, Phil — you’ve certainly earned them! 👏🍻

Congrats to 2nd team on being crowned champions after securing promotion last week.

A powerful final performance at HQ blowing Harvel away summed up a great season!

Special mention to Grant who has skippered the side which has included back to back championships, and will now step down from his role 👏

Also thanks to Phil Burnsted who steps down from his umpiring role as next season will be don’t by the panel. Thank you Phil, it’s been a pleasure 🫡

BIG WEEKEND OF CRICKET AHEAD!

There are some huge clashes across the club this weekend as we face the crunch time of the season!

The 1st XI have a must win game vs St Lawrence to keep them in with any chance of winning the league. , while

The 2nd XI take on the same opposition, a victory will maintain their position at the top of the table!

Meanwhile, the 3rd XI host Orpington Ocelots sitting proudly at the top of the league, and victory will see them crowned champions for a 3rd successive season 👀

the 4th XI travel Belvedere and will be aiming to put on a strong performance to maintain their league position.

Sunday sees the Women’s 1st XI take centre stage on the front square as they host Canterbury & Chestfield

On the back square, the Sunday 2s entertain Hit Wicket CC, promising another great day of cricket at the club.

Congratulations to the U17s who this afternoon won the final of this years Tunbridge Wells Festival, after defeating Bexley by 2 Wickets

Chasing 187, Hayes requires 72 off the final 7 overs to win!
