Who is up for a Thursday ride in the sun (hopefully)?

Hi all, welcome back to group rides. We have recently started our social group rides on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Sundays which are open to everyone. As yet we have not started our Thursday night rides which we are hoping to start shortly. In the past we have had a ladies only group ride on a Thursday. Unfornuately Angie cannot commit to doing this ride so I was interested in seeing if this is something that you would like to continue with?

Please can you let me know your thoughts and I can see what we can arrange. I am very keen to support / encourage ladies cycling so would welcome any thoughts or help that peole can offer. Everyone is welcome on the other rides we do and we are starting to see 4/5 ladies starting to join the other rides as well.

Hopefully see a few of you this evening, please remember this is a social, supportive, road bike group ride.

Just a reminder its Elliot's lumps ride, with a visit to Shap summit this evening. Also it is the start of the Liv Ladies group rides. Ride meets at 6pm for a 6.15 depart. Please arrive as close to 6pm as possible so the groups can be organised. Hopefully see you tonight. Please remember these are social group rides not a race.

Hi everyone, we are again meeting this Thursday at 6pm for a 6.15 depart. Please be as close to 6pm as possible as it will allow us to split the groups up into a maximum of 6 riders, as per government guidelines due to covid.

Please remember this is a road bike social group ride. Our aim is to encourage people to join these rides and make is a comfortable / supportive ride, where everyone looks out for each other. Basically we start and finish the ride as a unit not in splinter groups. Ride returns around 7.30.

The aim of this group ride is that you will learn new routes, gain other people to ride with and make cycling social / fun and give you more confidence.

Hopefully see you on Thursday.

Familiar sight, stood on the side of a road with a puncture? Back by request is our puncture repair night. There is nothing worse than riding along enjoying a ride and you hear a pssssssst! PUNCTURE! You can phone for a lift, etc but the fastest way to get going again is to fit a new tube. Our workshop team will be on hand to demonstrate the easiest and quickest way to fit a new tube without the need to touch a chain etc. We will also show you some pre-ride checks that you should do before every ride in orfer to stay safe and avoid unnecessary mechanicals.

This is a free event and i can guarantee you will leave the night with a confidence of being able to replace a tube with no fuss.

DUE to the forecast being RUBBISH again tomorrow we are cancelling the Thursday Ladies group ride

With it being so close to Christmad now, we are stopping the Thursdsy night rides until the spring time. Please feel free to post on this page and the chat group if you are looking for people to ride with in the meantime.
