🏆💙 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝟭𝟴𝘀 – 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 💙🏆

A fantastic day for the Jarrow Lasses U18s, who were crowned champions at the Billingham Synthonia Juniors Girls 5-a-side Cup after a series of strong performances, great teamwork, and impressive growth throughout the tournament 💪🏽

The day began with a tough 7-0 loss to Chester-le-Street United, but the girls quickly found their rhythm once they settled into their different formation.

⚽ 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 ⚽

▪️vs Chester-le-Street United – Lost 7-0

▪️vs FC Darlington Locomotives – Won 7-1

▪️vs Middlesbrough Girls U17s – Won 3-1

▪️vs Middlesbrough Girls U18s – Won 3-2

⚽ 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 ⚽

Their momentum carried them into the final – a rematch with Chester-le-Street. Despite creating the better chances, the game finished 0-0 and went to penalties.

In a shootout that went to sudden death, the girls held their nerve to win 3-2. Tilli, our Player of the Tournament, was outstanding – saving 4 out of 6 penalties and confidently scoring one herself 🙌🏽

The girls worked hard in the heat 🥵 played for each other and showed great spirit all day. A special mention to coach Trevor Morl for organising what was a fabulous day all round. Well done, lasses! 💙🏆

What a fantastic friendly this afternoon against the brilliant Howden AFC Ladies all sparked by a chance meeting between the coaches!

Huge thanks for making the trip to Jarrow; we’d love to visit you next time. Amazing players, top-notch coaches, and great vibes all around. This is what football’s all about, bringing people together through the beautiful game! 💙⚽🫶🏽
