A fantastic day for the Jarrow Lasses U18s, who were crowned champions at the Billingham Synthonia Juniors Girls 5-a-side Cup after a series of strong performances, great teamwork, and impressive growth throughout the tournament ๐ช๐ฝ
The day began with a tough 7-0 loss to Chester-le-Street United, but the girls quickly found their rhythm once they settled into their different formation.

Their momentum carried them into the final โ a rematch with Chester-le-Street. Despite creating the better chances, the game finished 0-0 and went to penalties.
In a shootout that went to sudden death, the girls held their nerve to win 3-2. Tilli, our Player of the Tournament, was outstanding โ saving 4 out of 6 penalties and confidently scoring one herself ๐๐ฝ
The girls worked hard in the heat ๐ฅต played for each other and showed great spirit all day. A special mention to coach Trevor Morl for organising what was a fabulous day all round. Well done, lasses! ๐๐
