The World Cup can be a moment of pride, community and the beautiful game at its best.

It can also mean higher levels of violence against women and girls during what is already considered a national emergency.

We know that football does not cause abuse, that alcohol does not cause abuse, and that a disappointing result does not cause abuse.

Perpetrators of violence against women and girls do.

Beg, Borrow = The Vixens 🦊 with a couple of Mid Devon ⚽️⚽️ ladies.The mish mash team had never played together before but made it to the Semi finals playoffs.
We were unable to play the playoff as a player had to depart pronto before the semi final match👎🆘👎.
Thank you to Lucy Saunders and Michelle West for stepping in and playing with us today🦊
Results were great Two wins 2-0 and 3- 1, two teeny tiny 1-0 losses and one 0-0 draw.
Fantastic Goal of the day scored by our very own coach Linda ⚽️☄️⚽️☄️.
Also on the score sheet was Denise, a couple of crackers in the net👍⚽️⚽️👍
And a cheeky little blinder from Lucy👍⚽️👍
And all on a pitch that was wobblier than my thighs😂😂😂😂😂👍

Tonight we were all reunited after having a midweek break due to the weather 🥵 The outfield players practiced trapping the ball and laying it back then a session of 1/2 touch passes, the goalies enjoyed their own session to improve their skills. A great turn out of players meant we could finish with a decent game , it was a closely fought match with some fab goals! High spirits, laughs and fun throughout! 🦊⚽️
