What an enjoyable afternoon we had with the Gloucestershire Allsorts. The visiting team made up from six different clubs. We lost the match, it didn't matter. We were having so much fun. It wasn't a league match so no harm done to our position in the league tables.

The enthusiasm from some of their members, so encouraging to our youngest player of the team, see video.

Would like to say a big "Thank You" to the players from other island clubs who helped us to make up the six full teams. That was Annette, and Rachel from Newport B.C. plus Rene and Jill from Sandown B.C. finally Jean who is joining the club in 2027 You all helped to make it a very good day.

Tomorrow Saturday 12th we will welcome Gloucester Allsorts B.C for the last tourist match of 2026.

The bowls Green is now green, thanks to all the heavy rain we have enjoyed these last two weeks. Before the weather changed the Green was a definite straw colour. Today, our groundsman gave a final cut. All neat and tidy for tomorrows match.

The last league match at Ryde Marine B.C. From the moment we started playing, it rained and carried on that way past when we had finished play. The high winds added to the bleak afternoon didn't help play either. Congratulations go to Ryde, Final outcome was 8-2.

Today is our very last league match, playing opposite Ryde B. C. on their home ground. This morning we have had very heavy rain, thankfully now the sun is peaking through the cloud. Trust the weather holds.

After todays match we have one more tourist game. We will welcome the Gloucester Allsorts on 12th September. Always good to meet clubs from the mainland. At the end of next month everything will be packed away ready for 2027.

Today (Sat 22nd) is our last home match. We are going to welcome Ventnor B.C. next Saturday we are away to Ryde B. C. That is it for this summer. Our page will be a little quiet for a while. A thank you to everyone that enjoys our page.

One of our last league matches, only three more to go. An away game on Newport B. C. home ground. Our congratulations go to Newport. which managed an 8-2 win. We had some great shots, they just managed to out play our teams, just wasn't our day.

Yesterday 13th August Camp Hill ladies played our penultimate match against Bembridge B team, what an enjoyable afternoons play, the high temperatures decided for us in advance that 15 ends would be about everyone’s limit with an additional few minute break after ends 5 and 10. Extreamly pleased with our win and Bembridge coming in a glorious second.

Something's never go as planned. So, our congratulations go to Sandown C, they were certainly in top form. Our new player Les, thoroughly enjoyed himself and played well. He is due to play next Saturday in the Camp Hill 'A' team opposite our near neighbour, 'Newport B. C'.

Today we are playing Sandown 'C' on home ground. There are very few league matches left to play, only three more. Today we are introducing a new bowler to the team, playing his first match for Camp Hill. We wish Les well. It's good start on our own green.

A lovely warm day, with just a light breeze, comfortable playing conditions.
