Guided Kayak Tours of Mersea Island.

Mersea Island Kayak Trips are delighted to offer unique guided kayak tours. We invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience exploring the waters around Mersea Island, Essex.

Our Tours
Kayak Paddle Party: Enjoy a two-hour journey on our Tootega sit-on-top kayaks. This fun and social tour includes snacks, drinks, music, and plenty of photo opportunities around the harbour. We launch next to the Mersea Coast Road Car Park, and the experience is timed to either high or low tide, offering two distinct perspectives of the island. Our evening tours are popular, with the chance to catch one of Mersea's famous sunsets!

Extended Tours
For a longer adventure, our extended tours last approximately 3.5 hours. We paddle to Tollesbury and back, roughly 10km, or explore the intricate network of creeks and the 'Strood' and watch the road flood. Both the extended trips can only work on higher tides.

Booking and Group Information
We require a minimum number of participants to run a tour, with a maximum group size of six. You are welcome to organize your own private group or join an existing one. No experience is necessary for our basic tours. We encourage you to connect with other paddlers through the Facebook Community: East of England Paddlesports

We can arrange custom dates and times for both our standard and extended tours, we can, with notice, also increase our maximum number to accommodate larger bookings. These are fantastic experiences for team / staff outings, birthdays or to meet new people etc.
