It’s Father’s Day! 🗓️👨🏻

Just as we did for Mother’s Day earlier in the season, we kept our game schedule free this weekend for our young Wildcats to celebrate a special day! 🙌🏻

Today they had the honour of gracing the pitch with their Dads and Grandads (and a few brothers too!) for what would prove to be a football education in passing and moving! 😂

Grandad David, Nigel, Chris and Tony rolled back the years with some impressive first touches, passes and goalkeeping heroics! 👴🏻

Whilst the girls couldn’t manage a goal, they did inflict some bruises on the shins of those who though who thought shin pads wouldn’t be required in such a “friendly game”. 🏥

A man of the match from James Melsa - akin to Claude Makélélé in his prime - was the highlight for the Dad’s. Tom justified his recent promotion to the festival management coaching ranks with a solid performance too! Coaches Jim and Ryan got stuck showing the girls how it was done, with coach Rob completing his first successful cross field pass of his illustrious 40+ year career! ⚽️➡️✅

Naturally, penalty kicks were ultimately the only way to decide who would be victorious on the day, and congratulations to the girls who were the most clinical from the spot! 💥

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and grandads! We hope you have an amazing day being spoiled by your little people! 🙏🏻💙🩵🩷🖤

Thank you St Joseph's College for being part of our Girl Power Festival! Your girls were an absolute credit to your school and were so brilliantly supported by your staff and their families. Well done girls and we look forward to seeing you at the next one! 🙌🏻🩷🩵

A huge well done to our four U7/8 girls who competed in the Copleston Girl Power 3v3 on Sunday.

The girls represented the school brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in what was an incredibly well organised event.

We are so proud of their enthusiasm, effort and sporting spirit.

It is with immense pride we share that our Girl Power Festival, held on Sunday 14th June, raised £1500 for The East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH❗️

I am beyond proud that we put on an event - for free - that allowed 150+ girls to play a game they love. 🩷🩵

In what was such a wonderfully positive atmosphere, we raised a significant amount of money for a charity that does incredible things, supporting families when they need it the most. 🥰

Thank you to every single person that played a part in Sunday’s Festival and made it what it was. Sponsors, Face painters, DJ’s, bouncy castle operators, snake handlers, sweetie providers, the wonderful bake-off bakers, all stall holders, family, friends and, of course, the girls themselves! 💞

Every time it gets bigger. 📈

Honestly your girls were a credit to you. We remember our girls starting out as a team back in August and they are unrecognisable now not in what they do on a football pitch in terms of ability, but how they are with one another with their friendships and growth in confidence. The Tigresses will undoubtably go from strength to strength, a wonderful group of girls 💞

Today our newly formed Bohemians Tigresses U7’s had an amazing time at the Girl Power Festival hosted by Coplestonians Wildcats ⚽💪

For some of the girls this was one of their first experiences playing football, and it was fantastic to see so many smiles, confidence growing and friendships being made ❤️💙

The day was all about having fun, enjoying football and showing that the future of girls football is looking very bright 🌟

A huge thank you to Coplestonians Wildcats for putting on such a brilliant event and giving the girls a great experience 👏
