Let’s keep FTC Gym Ipswich clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone! 💪

We’ve noticed a few things creeping in lately — weights left on machines, cable attachments scattered, and even gym bags taking up floor space.

Let’s all do our part to keep the gym running smoothly. Here's how we can help each other out:

✅ Wipe up spills or let staff know
✅ Dispose of rubbish properly
✅ Train in clean, proper gym gear
✅ NO bare or socked feet
🚫 NO large gym bags on the gym floor – use the lockers or shelves provided

And a few more quick reminders:

🔁 Re-rack your weights

📍 Return cable attachments to the orange column

⚖️ Strip your bars when finished

📸 Respect our social media policy — only post others with their permission

🔥 HAVE YOU TRIED THE FTC SAUNA YET? 🔥

Your training doesn’t stop when you leave the gym recovery matters too. 💪

Our infrared sauna is a great way to slow things down, switch off and give your body some well-earned recovery time.

✨ Some potential benefits include:

So, how long should you use it?

If you’re new to sauna, start with around 5–10 minutes and see how you feel. You can gradually build up to around 15–20 minutes if comfortable.

🚿 A few simple tips:

💧 Hydrate before and after

🧖‍♀️ Take a towel and wear suitable clothing/swimwear

⏱️ Don’t feel like you need to stay in for longer to get more benefit

❄️ Allow yourself time to cool down afterwards

🍷 Avoid using the sauna after drinking alcohol

🤒 Skip it if you’re unwell or have a fever
