A bit of backstory: I could tell Lisa was up for a new challenge, she just didn't quite know what yet. I suggested she sign up for a fitness race because I thought she'd love it. She was a little apprehensive… so I signed up to do it with her!
Turns out moral support is sometimes paid in burpees! 🤣
She's been training with real consistency for a couple of years, so I knew she had the strength and fitness in her to get through it, even if she wasn't fully convinced herself.
Race day came and she was questioning all her life choices! 🙈
There were exercises in that workout she'd never done before, sleds, ski ergs, hurdles so of course some nerves crept in. Totally understandable.
But here's the thing: that's exactly what getting better at anything takes. Turning up to something and giving it a go anyway, even when it scares you a little.
Some stations were tougher than others, but she didn't stop. She pushed through and got every single one done. Those years of strength training showed up exactly when she needed them.
Crossing that finish line, Lisa proved something to herself that no amount of me telling her ever could: she was more than capable. She had the fitness. She had the strength. She just needed to prove it to herself.
And the best part? She was buzzing after and already wants to do it all over again! 🥳
That's what happens when you stop waiting to feel ready and just do it.
If there's something you've been putting off because you don't feel "ready enough" this is your sign.
DM me “READY” below and I'll pop you the details on how we can get you there too. 💪
