7 months of 2026, over in a flash! 🗓️
The group in the photo sums up exactly what Josh Meekings Football Development is all about. Wearing their JMFD training kits with pride – a huge thank you to HIGHLANDIA _sportswear for sorting them. These boys are just one of many groups who turn up week after week, working hard, smiling, improving, and simply enjoying football for what it is. It makes me incredibly proud every time I see somebody stepping onto the pitch in one of these kits.
I was looking through the figures recently, and it honestly surprised me to see that I’ve had the pleasure of coaching 103 different kids since starting up last April. Not bad for a one-man band! (Apart from the exception, of course, when I team up with my holiday camp partner Fergus Adams | Online Coach ).
Every week there are familiar faces who continue to turn up, work hard and represent JMFD brilliantly, but what keeps amazing me is the number of new faces coming through the gates too. It reminds me just how grateful I am to have the opportunity to give something back to these kids on their own football journey, after the game gave me so much throughout my own life.
Lastly, I’m massively grateful to every parent who sacrifices their evenings, weekends and time to get their child to sessions. Without your support and trust, there simply wouldn’t be a JMFD.
So, here’s to the second half of the year. Thank you to every player, every parent and everyone who’s supported JMFD so far. See you on the pitch for the second half! ⚽️
